I'm an internet radio DJ for Hardcore Gamer's Radio, I mostly play indie genre bands, from black metal to Nintendocore. :] I know many more bands if you like to add to the list!

Anyways, Blind Guardian for sure, one of the only metal bands I listen to at all any more, they did a concept album based off of The Silmarillion (Tolkien)

not sure if it counts, but Coheed and Cambria are prog-rock(ish) who's first 3 albums are concept albums that join to make one story. their newer albums are the base of a brand new concept.
They also have their own line of comic books.
