also I think it's too early for a huge -50% discount, normally in the first weeks after release you get -10% or -25% but not -50% (maybe thats the reason the deal isn't live yet)

There is a region locked RU/CIS version and a WW verison. The RU/CIS verison will not run in US, but the WW will.
I can't seem to see Bioshock Infinite in the store for the regions listed under WW, so I would assume you activated a key?

I didn't play BioShock 2 before playing Infinite, and I doubt it spoiled anything for me from 2 or that I missed out on anything in Infinite -- same universe, same gameplay, entirely different story. Infinite is well worth $10 imho, and a game I can enthusiastically recommend to people even if they never played BioShock 1. And for me, going out of order is really weird -- I usually try to avoid that.
