What companies usually do this? Is it like the winter one where almost everyone does it? I want quake to go on sale so bad. I got $80 saved for this thing.

that's in about 2 weeks from now. I have like 66 bucks (24 steam wallet, rest PP) sitting to be spend on more games that I cannot play anytime soon as I'm having a massive backlog already. I hope the sale is better than the xmas sale, I'll be only buying if 80%+ off, no exceptions made :D

I also have three TF2 keys, one $0.21 booster pack, and six cards worth ~$0.10 each.

Total funds available for summer sales: ~$21.16 CND.

hmm, time to attempt to sort my 77 wishlist items! i have a few completed card sets i've been hanging onto until the sale cards start dropping because i never use the coupons i get from crafting badges outside one of the big sales...

meh, not really interested in many games lately and the few i want probably won't have a nice discount.

that short? I thought it lasted into July as I remember the sale going on even past the 4th.

I'm interested to see how much effort they put into this sale in terms of community involvement. Last year they had that team thing. Winter's "events" were basically non-existent once the sale began proper aside from crappy cards. I also hated how they went to 1 community choice per day.

I'm also interested to see if they bring the auction back like they had for this past winter sale a few days before it started.

If it doesn't start today (in 5 minutes) the most reliable date I've found is the 11th as well. I think you're right.

You're almost right. As I know Steam public (or group in other words) isn't official. It's just a group of people who gather all useful information conncerning Steam like any community group. Later they were giving some proof links (like leaked e-mail screenshots) for the dates of big sales. This time I don't see any and it saddens me :(
