I do love rpgs, but I not a fan of the star wars universe... I have read some reviews about the game, and they said that is like dragon age origins, it trully is?

Do you recomend it?

Ho many hours of fun it give you?

Thanks for your time.

Fantastic game for sure. One of the best non-open world RPG's you'll find without digging back into the 16-bit golden age. First game is a stone cold classic.

The second game does have some minor issues (it's very well documented that the production was rushed against the designer's wishes), but even so... I don't even mean this sarcastically, it might be the best public beta ever. I think it still has a legit case as a game of that year contender.

Between Knights of the Old Republic, and the Battlefront games, video games have been carrying this franchise for a while.

Query: How old are you, meatbag?

Clarification: You are only excused if you were still in kindergarten when the games came out.

Assertion: Both KotOR games are more than worth your time and money. I have spent more than 200 hours in each game.

Addendum: HK-47 is one of the best characters in any game ever.

Astonishment: Am I really the first to choose this format for my answer?

Post scriptum: I hope my new avatar propagates soon, now that it is relevant to this discussion.

You don't need to be a fan of Star Wars to enjoy Knights of the Old Republic, unlike games such as Force Unleashed II. The story is amazing and beautifully written, it's one of the last great role-playing games Bioware did. So if you dislike role-playing games, avoid. The graphics are dated and the gameplay is odd. But still ;)

The KotOR games are among the best games I have played, in my top 3 together with FallOut2 and BG2. You will have many hours of fun with this game. Even if you have finished it you can play with a different class/alignment. I dont know how many hours I played because I have them on CD as well and Steam doesnt count those hours :)

No no no my friend. KoTOR isn't like DA:O. DA:O is like KOTOR. KOTOR is my favorite RPG and many many MANY Other people say the same thing. The game is just fantastic and it's the root of Biowares newer games such as DA and Mass Effect. The whole multiple companions, choice paths and strategic combat was from KOTOR. You don't have to enjoy the Star Wars universe to enjoy the game since it's set 1000 years before the current movies. They still have normal actual swords in it and the blasters are pretty huge and look hard to handle. The Republic is also the old republic along with the sith. There are no clones. Every soldier is a person who wants to join the republic or the sith. If you hurry you can pick it up for less than $4 http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/us/en/pc/games/rpgs/star-wars-knights-old-republic-mac/
