Messiest desktop

I always knew I'm lazy but i just realized that I'm so lazy that i can't even organize my desktop.
Take a look at it. Also post here your messy desktops and maybe I'll make a giveaway for the messiest ones in a few days.

How will you know if the winner really usually has a messy desktop? He could've just dumped a bunch of shortcuts on his desktop. ;)

easyest way to keep your desktop nice and tidy is to not put shorcut from your steam games on it ,just launch them from the library

Invisible folder with invisible letter (alt+255) as a name to some corner and organize everything inside it. I use Rainmeter and some random skin, put recycle bin from there to bottom right on desktop and remove the default windows bin.

this^. If you put many game icons on desktop, it won't provide any convenience at all. When you create too many game icons, you still have to take time to find the exact game you want to play. So just set categories in steam and sort your games into categories, then delete icons on desktop, that is gonna help you.

I like to only install the games i actually play and this is an easy way to see what games i am playing at the moment.

Well, mine is pretty clean.
I sorted the games by genere (mostly) and use some folders for games with more parts

I've been meaning to get Geektools back up and running like a previous setup, but haven't invested the time. Subbin' the extra features with mobile (apps), more hassle than I care to admit.

I don't intend on arguing with you. Maybe I should have said I hope its a hackintosh OR you also have a windows machine. Games on Mac are just so limited in numbers. I've used Macintosh for years I'm not ignorant.

Bootcamp, but for now I'm using Wine wrappers with compatible games until I reach a breaking point (not being able to use my wireless x360 gamepad is annoying).

I own Windows, it's not that big a deal to install it, I'm just trying to get by without it for now. Outside of games, I've found mostly usable substitutes (do prefer notepad++ to textwrangler out of familiarity, and no replacement for foobar).

I found most stock applications on osx to be pretty good. I kind of liked textwrangler, I was mostly just using it for programming in python at the time though. All in all though they do have quite a compelling software ecosystem but from a purely OS standpoint I do prefer the windows environment.

It's nice to see that Maverick will be free for most people although my Macintosh hasn't been working in quite some time. Plus yeah I was never a fan of using wrappers for my games I found it to just be more inconvenient to have to find workarounds for my favorite games.

It does make you appreciate the devs who do release on WIN/Mac though.

Did I winned? Probably not... I want to be able to see the wallpaper so I keep the desktop clean. I have never clicked on any of those icons (except Steam icon), they are just to show off.

I could make up some kind of dirty story, but it is simply my account number, area code, and phone number from Virgin Media. I didnt have a house phone, so whenever I needed to fill in my number for some online orders I would give them my non-functional home number rather than hand out my mobile number.
