It seems pretty cool but just ridiculously hard to me - or am I missing something

It looked really fun. Then I got it...and it got very boring, very fast. I'd love multiplayer though, that would be really funny

It is very promising, but I either need an area the size of a pool table to move my mouse in, or I need to set the in game sensitivity settings so high that I can barely use the menu (and sometimes even that doesn't seem like enough). Really the controls need something of a massive overhaul to shift the difficulty of the game away from dodgy controls (and or physics) and more to the actual gameplay itself.

try going DOWN on the sensitivity and see if it's any better - I had it maxed and couldn't do squat then on the advice of others went the opposite way and it's getting better. Just gotta find the sweet spot.

really starting to get a kick out of it now - but still crazy hard

I wish the guy would keep working on it, it has a lot of balance issues. Overall, it is pretty fun (with the correct sensitivity settings).

A hard game takes a great deal of skill to win.
Hammerfight is just really awkward, in that the controls are a worse enemy than anything else.

Not really interested into the game

Don't know why people keep bashing this game. After tweaking with the mouse sensitivity, I found this game to be really fun. It's not that hard once you get the hang of it. At some point, you'll start feeling pretty invincible in arenas.

It has tons of potential, but it's also frustratingly random/unfair. The flail mechanics are EXTREMELY satisfying if done right, but some things are just bs.
According to Steam i played 6 hours (I thought it was more), and got to what seemed to be a final final, which i gave up on after many tries.

So in conclusion - Infuriating, but lots of fun.

PS. YES, i had my mouse sensitivity all the way down, thank you very much.

There's few things that are quite as satisfying as getting a perfect hit with a flail and slamming your opponent into the wall.

lol - agreed
saw a flail up for offer but didn't have enough to buy it - did get a big copper(?) ball on a LONG-ASSED chain and I'm absolutely in love with it, and toting a big axe or sword for close stuff but once that ball gets swinging it's good night gladys

I don't approve of the projectile weapons (especially the ones that blow up all around you) at all though

I typically used hammers because of their simplicity. As for the ranged weapons, I would love to catch them midair, but I never actually used them against enemies because you're far more likely to hurt yourself than to actually hit them.

You mean one of the early weapons? I'd say stay with it. And try to pick up one of those rocks on a chain as well (You can have max 2 weapons at once).
Projectile weapons... They have the curious habbit of being nigh-impossible to aim with, but the AI has pinpoint accuracy.
Anyway, i found that the best weapon is any flail with a fire enchantment (But even then my tactics was just "start making giant circles as soon as the level loads and hope for the best". Damn it, now i'm going to reinstall it).

Yeah, it's really hard to control, but if you can get the hang of dual-wielding flails then you can do some serious damage.

I thought it was pretty terrible. It felt like the developers were more concerned with making a game that could be played entirely with the mouse than actually making it fun.

I found the demo very fun. Fiddling with the mouse sensitivity can improve the game a lot :)
