The comics that are coming out are just great. They can be easily be a movie, but i have learned that we cant get anything good with a movie based in a cartoon series (or at least a live action one).
If they make a new series about aang i will be the happiest guy, but we know that isn't going to happen so movies based on the new comics would be enough.

EDIT: Never mind, I guess it was a silly question. My favorite is Zuko. He had some great character development and it was amazing to see that transformation through the series.

Same situation for me. I'm going to go with Varrick. I always had a grin on my face when he showed up, and told whoever was around to "do the thing!" In the end, his long-suffering assistant Zhu Li (Juli?) did get to show him how dependent he was on everyone else, and forced a bit of responsibility into his capricious ways.
.. And .. he made Bolin a star! Great guy, that Bolin; he really had it coming to him.

I think my most favorite episode in Avatar was when they got lost in the desert because Sokka was definitely at his most high at that episode XD
