Many, many people complain about EA, but that's the easy way out. Pausing long enough to engage our intelligence in what EA are doing and why is another matter. I invite you all to check out this well-made video in the hope that it give you reason to think.

Why EA Treat You Like a Little Bitch

"To know is not enough. True wisdom requires understanding."

TL;DR: Learn the tricks companies use to manipulate you, why those tricks work, and what you can do to make your opinion "heard."

From my 20y experience with games I can tell you that:
UBISOFT

P.S. As far as digital distribution goes, first part is everyone's a few years back behind steam, which is understandable. Second part is that some try to improve, like Origin, and some try to implement ideas of people who probably never played anything more complex than a mobile game, like UPlay.

EA is horrible, yes, but this "we should do something" bull-crap is just that: BULL-CRAP. We can't do ANYTHING against their practices except for boycotting buying their games, but since they do make good games and also because there will always be a large target audience even for the shitty games like the EA sports ones, the horrible Need For Speed games that came after Carbon or the Harry Potter games and there will always be a lot of people who not only don't protest against EA's anti-consumer tactics, but actually ENDORSE them, that will never be possible. Besides, not every single thing that EA introduced is evil. For instance, I have nothing against Origin. Those are their games and it's their right to introduce and promote them on any fucking gaming platform they see fit. No one has to be Valve's bitch if they don't want to. So lay off the "stick it to the man" rebel, holier than thou attitude.

To you. What else do you mean by "wake up"? That's what I'd like to know.

First I bought Crysis 2 on day one wich was a major letdown, but they gave a free Battlefield BC2 with the game so i got over it.
But then I bought BF3. That was the point when I decided to never buy an EA game again.

Yay, same here. After BF3 I didn't buy anything ever again (excluding a few good older ones when on sale on steam). It's easier than expected to be honest.. with all the garbage they release lately. :p

Last game I bought from the EA was Fifa 2003 xD
exception for bundle games that might've had ea products (and no I did not buy origin bundle)

Reason for this I simply don't like most of the EA games, I acquire games I'm interested in + I usually don't buy games just as they come out, first I w8 for some reviews.

Same stupidity as the Gamestop thing, everyone complains about the trade in stuff, and then go back to do it more.
