What type of content should I create?
I would definitely recommend you add commentary. You won't grow by showing only gameplay, you have to be entertaining. You're either a god at gaming (pro player) or you're entertaining. If you are just doing this for fun, then obviously do what you want :)

I wish I could have the time I had years ago, then I wouldn't have to choose. I enjoy gaming and making music, but if I make videos I would like to create something others would enjoy aswell.

I have the game already, but I did find the link. Thanks for the great giveaway and I really do wish you luck with your channel. Hopefully, you can find a happy medium between the things you love. You could also consider livestreaming, which has the added bonus of promoting your youtube channel You can also edit that footage to make more videos. I totally understand about not having the time though.

Please, no more gameplay! I don't want to be rude, but youtube have been bombed with people doing gameplays. Never understood why would someone actually watch that kind of videos, go and play the game yourselfs or wait until you can get your hands on it, don't spoil yourselfs the experience. I do watch some gamepleay videos but only ones from old arcade games done with 1 credit.
I mostly like to see reviews or opinion videos, content that is personal and different depending on who's doing it. Good luck with your channel! :)

Because some people cant afford the game or do not want to drop that amount of money on a game they aren't sure they'll like or not. So they instead watch videos of the game.

I know that, but you can watch a review, or just some minutes of gameplay... I was talking about "series" of gameplays covering the whole game (without trying even to be a walktrough/secrets guide)

About youtube channel - like Idiosyncratic said in the first comment. If you want people to watch your videos then you should make them entertaining, add some commentary, make it attractive. ^^
Personally I watch on youtube: playthroughs (if I'm stuck) or reviews. Sometimes I watch some tips&tricks for strategy games, building decks for Hearthstone with explaination how to play them and some highlights of epic moments in games I like.

mostly i watch certain channel because i like their takes on games/ events. for example FunHaus i watch cuz it's funny n followed those guys since they were in machnima , same with Etc News. boggie2988 cuz he speaks with honesty n his Francis impression is funny..tbh if i asked what do I want..i can't say exactly what I want in the video unless i see it(hope it makes some kinda weird sense). (make videos that will resonate with audience/make it personal may be?)

It's weird the link does not work but I used Sherlock Holmes skills to guess what game is in question, added it after the URL key and it worked... weird...

Maybe you should try finding out what people like just like any other person by trying out. Letting users click on all your videos for more clicks doesn't automatically make your content better. Also did you do the following?:

Unfortunately I'm not very active at the moment , but I'm planning to work on it. As you can see I was trying out different stuff, but I would like to focus on one thing for now. That's why I created this poll to see people's opinion.
