No, this is not a puzzle giveaway. I simply want to post about something amazing that just happened to me.
I try to make unique and interesting thank-you comments to the giveaways I enter, only because I truly am appreciative of the chance to win a free game for doing next to nothing. As someone who's had to scrape by most of their life, getting things for free can make a big difference.
I left a rather wordy thank-you in a giveaway I saw right before I went to bed, and didn't think much more of it. However, when I got up this morning I noticed I had an invite on Steam.
Then this happened.
He was so appreciative of my comment, he bought another copy of the game and gifted it to me. Needless to say, I was blown away.
So! The moral is; while thank-yous are all well and good, and everyone should be thankful for the opportunity to win a free game, giveaway creators really do appreciate the time it takes to write out an actual thank you message.
