So, while reporting a user for creating a misleading giveaway I discovered the new Support section, and I finally understood what our glorious support staff meant with "there are a lot of tickets".
Every single ticket you sent is there. I found about a hundred old-ass user report tickets, still "pending", tickets too old to be of any utility to the community or myself.
So, what did I do? I clicked every single report listed and closed it. You can close your own tickets.

You can close your own tickets.

Their status went from "pending" to "resolved", and now, hopefully, about 100 tickets just dropped off from the support queue, which is a cool thing.
So, what can YOU do for SGv2? You can do the same thing I just did. 5, 10 minutes it's all it takes, it will lighten the staff's workload and you can blacklist the user you reported anyway, if you feel so.

GIVEAWAYS!

Fallout Tactics
Psychonauts
The Bard's Tale
Avadon 2
Overcast
Gorky 17
Larva Mortus

Holy cow! I had almost 3 pages of pending user reports, some of them fro over 2 years ago.

I beat you, 127 after deleting the doubled ones. (void).
Will delete those from users that stopped using the site, although I would rather to see a kick/ban on them.

A number of them were already permabanned. I had some reports dating up to a month back, then it jumped to 2 years ago. I closed all the 2 years stuff since it's probably no longer relevant.

Achieved to reduce to 74 old tickets (deleted 53), not bad :)

Then join us, take a minute (half an hour) to check the users, if they are permabanned or hasn't come to the site for more than 6 months they probably won't come, just keep the most hard offences and close the less important tickets, you can also blacklist them.

All we can help to reduce the queue.

Good thread. :)
I had a ticket open, that wasn't really that relevant, i just blacklisted the user concerning the issue since he doesn't seem to be using SG anymore, so no point in burdening support with a ticket over someone who might use SG in the future. Not that important, imo, bigger fish to fry.

Also thanks for the giveaways. ;)

Thanks for the info, though it looks like I didn't have any unresolved tickets

35 tickets 'pending', some of them opened 1 year ago... deleting at least half of them now. As you said they are too old to be of any utility.

Thanks to the support staff for their infinite patience :)

I think you should change your title to something like "CLOSE YOUR OLD BUGGED USER REPORTS"

I was about to make this thread before going through the 100+ threads posted today.

You're actually right, this way it should pop up with a forum search.

I've only ever had 11 Support tickets and they've been resolved for a long time. But thanks for the giveaways and good idea.

Yeah, those are all the times you used the "User Report" button on profiles without the use of SG+. It went to the void that only cg could see.

Now, those are all in support. All 40,000 of them.

Anyway today I started removing some of them. Partially resolved but not closed, partially no longer relevant. It also helps to create my blacklist..;> I hope that help Support to embrace all this mess. GL! :)

A "suspension history" on users profiles would help a lot with user reports, but that in itself is a very debatable site feature.

Makes it too easy to start witch hunts. Especially bad for the "No Calling Out" rule.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

That's a really bad idea. Also, you'd be surprised how many users don't particularly care that the user they reported has been punished before for something and want them suspended again anyway (or dislike the fact that we can't tell them the action taken) and reopen their tickets.
