2012: Year of the Bow

As the Year of the Bow draws to an end, I submit a small piece of an unfinished narrative I began writing for y'all some months ago. Hope you're all well. Happy New Year!

The bowman draws an arrow from the quiver on his back
And sets the notch against the string, preparing to attack
The marksman aims, the crow takes flight, and hurriedly ascends
An arrow loosed, the crow hard struck, the murder mourns again

What I suspect cfriend is referring to is how there were many pieces of media in that featured the bow predominantly. For example Hunger Games girl, Hawkeye from the Avengers, girl in Brave, seemingly every other trailer at this year's E3 and so on

Also Far Cry 3, Dishonored (crossbow) and Assassin's Creed 3. If you count games that were featured heavily in 2012 but haven't come out yet, then it also includes Crysis 3 and Tomb Raider.

All this reminds me of is an Oblivion Youtube playthrough my favorite Youtuber made named "Road, Sword, and Bow".

No idea why.

It sounds very nice though.
