honestly, making her lesbo, i dont see it fit. but i have seen enough domination to know where this is going though and that is what makes me wanna cry

I was too busy enjoying the final battle to really care about the ending one way or another. Having re-watched it now, It could have been worse. It could have also been better. If it was what the creators originally intended and wasn't just jammed in to get some publicity, then I have no real issue with the ending.

-10; haters gonna hate. i'm fine with korra and asami being a couple, and pleased with the great mecha thing being destroyed in an awesome way.

Haven't seen the anime but... Are they lesbians for real? If so, I better don't watch it with my lil bro (8 years)

it's on nick. the lesbian thing only appears on the last episode, and they are just holding hands and looking at each other.

I think it was always intended, there was a hint of it for a while. I thought it was handled reasonably well.

Overall, it was a decent enough ending given the circumstances. Nothing particularly interesting happened, but it was enjoyable enough, and it was a pretty good battle.

  1. don't like korrasami cuz it has no history or use to the plot
  2. hate that korra never reconnected with the past avatars
  3. you kill no important character yet don't reconnect her to the avatars? makes sense
  4. only dramatic stuff was in the 1v1 korra v. kuvira battle
  5. for this season in general, mako hardly ever used his lightning yet bolin used lava a good amount
  6. the mech idea seems like an easy way out to introduce a focus for the finale
  7. korra and asami randomly go on vacation during a wedding? if it happened a few days after the wedding or whatever, a transition wasnt clear

I really liked the ending, though sad that there will be no more Avatar TV shows at least for the foreseeable future.

The Korrasami part is ambiguous and I think they left it that way because it was on Nick. In a way it came out of nowhere for some but because it was on a kids channel they really couldn't do more with that story line then what they did. I would have liked to have seen it more fleshed out. I really don't know why it pisses people off that those 2 could hook up. It just reflects real life. It can come out of nowhere for some people. There has been hints of something more for a while.

Mako was under used, I would have liked to have seen more but at least Bolin did a lot of growing.

Korra didn't go into the avatar state like she had in the past or like Aang did.

I would have liked to have seen her reconnect with her past lives.

The over all battle was quite interesting. I liked how they were throwing building and stuff at it, everyone working together to try to bring the thing down.

The final fight between Korra and Kuvira was almost what I expected except for the part in the woods. I wasn't expecting the result.

As for some people complaining about how they just took off during or right after the wedding. I don't think so, I think it was at least a few days after the wedding. I doubt they just left without anyone knowing, mainly so they wouldn't worry people. If something more is happening with the 2 of them in the spirit world, Jinora could be in for a huge surprise if she decides to visit them in spirt form to check up on them. lol

But anything that was left unfinished could easily be finished off in comic form. At the very least fan fictions are gonna go nuts.

I was not disappointed by the ending. If 1 is really disappointed and 10 is thought it was really awesome, then I would have to give it a solid 9. There was room for improvement but I understand that being canceled (even though one of the more popular shows) and being on a kids channel did limit stuff they could do and show.

all of this.
they didn't have that much time to develop the characters more. which is sad, because we had a lot of interesting people in the show.
The last air bender had twice as much as epsisodes, they have a lot of time to develop characters, making at least 1 episode specially for each character (like the episodes were each character tag along with Zukko)
i can't avoid to think how much better the show could have been if it wasn't tied to nick.
still, one of the best cartoons of the last times.

Avatar episodes were 30 minutes long (22-23 really), so it is about the same...

i was convinced that The last air bender had 20 episodes more than The legend of korra... looks like they only had 10 more.

I think what we should really focus on is how the r34 community is probably in a jaw-dropping state right now. In their own... 'Business'.

EDIT: Yeah, I'm jesting. Honestly, I never saw The Last Airbender or Korra : TLA, so I can't say much about it. All I know is that Korra was said to be way more mature and not really a kid's show in the context of it.

I'm pretty sure, what was it called, korrasami? Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's been a popular 'shipping' for a while just as Fem Shep and Liara were a popular one and, surprisingly, still are despite the huge amount of hate for that uh... Yeah, that game.

Not that I go on that stuff, despite the implication. This is probably as much as I can say without admitting it but you'd be surprised where you see conversations about shipping, yo'.

I absolutely loved the ending. A bummer that she didn't reconnect with the past avatars, but she's the beginning of a new era. I'm happy with Korrasami because I saw it coming for a while and even though I'm not LGBT in anyway it's great to see a bi/lesbian protagonist in a Nicktoon. A lot of discussion is going on about that and really I'm just glad they did something to rile people up! The action was badass and my favorite part was Varrik and Zhu Li doing the thing. I am a little disappointed that a lot of it seemed kinda rushed and that it felt more suited to the ending of just a season rather than the whole series.

Seems like a cheap edgy grab at attention to suddenly pull that at the end....I never watched the show but if what people are saying is true, it's out of no where? Seems like a cheap attempt.

I'm not sure of the forum rules on spoilers, but this is kind of a dick move. I don't plan on watching this in the foreseeable future, but a lot of people may not yet be caught up on the show. At least add "Korra Spoiler Alert" to the beginning of the title.

Edit: To explain further, the last part of the title doesn't show up when seeing the recent forum posts at the bottom of the homepage.

But what about Varrik's story? Will we ever find out what happened to Mrs Beaks?

It seems that the creators have now confirmed the relationship. Its canon now so any Korra comics that come out that take place after this point in time can have information about this. Same with any future Avatar series in the future, they could reference it.

If people don't like it, well too bad. Same sex relationships are part of real life, so why shouldn't they be represented in tv shows. You're just gonna have to deal with it.

It was quite cringy how they forced the lesbian/bi into Korra when shes been obviously a hetero character throughout the whole show. Plus the whole show could never compete with the original Avatar.
