This... I don't think $100 mice make people any better at games

Well, you're right, he actually don't need a 100$, mine is a Logitech G400 (30-40$, it's wired), and it's really a great gaming mouse. Using it with a Steelseries QcK+ is alot of fun on fps.

No wonder it skips pixels. That was designed for x510..

yeah it works fine on 32 bits with mouseware.
In setpoint it also has a bug on buttons 6 & 7, too bad there isn't a 64 bit mouseware. Oh should have gotten the expensier mx 518, didn't need the extra features, but there was no way i had known they would drop support for mx510.
it's just sad to see good hardware not working right because of drivers, i think i got back the mouse worth through the years so no biggie

The deathadder was very nice, good feel, form and precision. But in the first batch of production it had serious firmware problems (a mouse!) and its hull was poorly fabricated. It started to squeek after just a few weeks and then it deformed and parts were moving instead of keeping firm. That happened to both my Deathadders, as I got a free replacement for the first from the shop I bought it at when I demonstrated the flaws.
I still love Razer for the eXactMat X control pad, that's a great surface.
Now I am back to a Cherry Gentix. That's not a fancy mouse at all, but still offers a very nice grip and response at just the right weight. I do miss the thumb buttons though and one should be able to switch off the LED lighting. The mouse was bundled with my Cherry keyboard.
I used to play with Logitech Pilot mice, but they stopped selling them and my last broke years ago.

Well luckily for us they went ahead and released the 3.5g version or v2 whatever you want to call it as well as making a black edition which basically just had a better grip. Only remaining problem I think is the mouse collects excessive amounts of dirt, Ive have to clean it so much more often than any other mouse :/

Yeah, reading the comments here about the yearly revisions made me consider buying one agin. With a keyboard, but unsure about which to chose. Let's see if there's another topic on prefered gaming keyboards ;)
And you are right, the deathadder attracts dust like a magnet.

I used to take the ball out and play with it when something was loading. :I
