my giveaway (http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/Nagxj/nostradamus-the-last-prophecy) ended 2 weeks ago and the winner hasnt replied to numerous attempts at contact, they have added me on Steamfriends after i sent a request but again theres been no attempt to accept the gift. i made a support ticket to request a new winner 5 days ago but that hasnt been dealt with. theres 250 other people who entered the giveaway who im sure would be happy to win so if anybody from support happens to see this post could you action my ticket please? thanks.

requesting a new winner is usually pretty fast. not sure why it takes so long for you. my requests were usually handled in <=2 days (often within hours even).

so giveaway creators don't just hold out on their gifts because they don't happen to like who wins. they need proof that you attempted to contact them and the winner was given a chance to receive it

Mmmhmm, having exact proof/screenshots of failed contacting makes it easier/faster for the mods too, instead of having to poke around and do more work for it.

did you really tried to send them the gift and they declined or waited a week them to ask for their gift? if it's former, add a screenshot and make mods' life easier. if it's latter, just why?

i sent the gift by email the day the GA ended then i checked a few times to make sure the person had logged into SG and knew they had won, i also sent a follow up email and posted a message on their Steam profile, all of this and i added them on Steamfriends and havent had any reply whatsoever. imo ive done enough.

then add some frickin proof to your ticket instead of looking for a support member in forums. even if they're around, they're probably at sgv2.

Yes and no. We're low on support staff and have a high ticket volume. These guys volunteer. So, making their jobs as easy as possible ensures that they get through tickets as fast as possible instead of having to dig around :P

If it was a gift and not a key, it's as simple as sending a screenshot of the gift in your inventory with their email showing that it was indeed sent to that email.

Don't loose hope, i opened a ticket 3 to 4 weeks (don't have the exact day but closer to 4 weeks than 3) ago for the same thing, i got a reply 6 days ago asking for details, since then not a word. I think it'd be faster to cancel the giveaway and create the exact same one...

currently the rerolls won't go because giveaways before the data corruptions don't have any entries known anymore and can't be redrawn for that reason.
