myeaaa no, still minecraft clone. Problem is if we keep supporting these "copies", we'll rarely get anything fresh, new and exciting.
When minecraft came out, it was fresh new and exciting. All copies afterwards are just ...copies. Yes some might have sexy features, different gameplay, but the main core is still minecraft-ish :D
Same goes for simulators, few bunch of people supported "crap simulator 2018 omg!" and we got tons of shit simulators.

Yeah because Minecraft is NOT an ripoff, huh? Well you don't even know that Minecraft is a ripoff of Infiminer. Minecraft is also still Infiminer-ish. The thing is not that the Developers don't show us new games with fresh Ideas, it's you who can't see the diffrence. I can also say Skyrim is a ripoff of WoW only in singleplayer, because it also has mountains and land and water and oh uhm it has an sword. Maybe the graphics are better but its still the same.
Oh and Cod is Battlefield! .. no wait.. it really is so forget it...

Portal is an mix of any future Theme game with Puzzels.
Oort Online does have many feautures Minecraft doesn't have. It it wouldn't be that blocky you wouldn't even compare it with minecraft. it's only the block style you see and denounce it immediately as Minecraft clone.
I don't like that in any way, because thats why the people cant bring new fresh games out. We all love the Blocky style, and its okay. Think about every other game.
What about Skyrim if it's not allowed to have an medival style or basicly being on a world because other games are on landmass too? Or not allowed to have Dragons?!
What about Bioshock? It has some kind of magic! Other games have some kind of magic too! Fuck its all an ripoff of everything in world!

Sure, even the developers say they've got inspired of Minecraft but also of Cube World, Infimer and other Games. it is not just Minecraft and it sure is not an minecraft ripoff, its an own game that uses this blocky style, and it also has a right to use it without being branded as an minecraft clon.

Hey thanks for sharing, I do think its quite Minecraft but what ever you are into! Not all games can be original but as long as it surpasses Minecraft, it would be worth the look, Minecraft was an innovating game no doubt.

Looks like an interesting game. Using voxel graphics makes the idiots instantly think that this is a minecraft clone though, which is a shame. The whole point of the game is different. I see that the gameplay is closer to Cube World in that it focuses more on exploration and PvE rather than building like in Minecraft.
Sadly I have no money to spare to help them fund this game but I hope the developers can be successful in their endeavors.

Makes me wonder about the average intelligence of the members of this site when you can see a lot of people thinking that this is a Minecraft clone just because it uses a few elements that are also found in Minecraft. If that is how they classify games then Borderlands = COD? Starcraft = C&C? that is just ignorant and/or stupid.
Also, a lot of people also states that the game is $90. Another example of people being stupid as they can't even scroll up a bit to find that you can get a copy of the game for $15.

It sounds like what they want to do might be fun. But to get angry at people for calling it a Minecraft clone is a bit unfair. I'm not sure if there are any proper gameplay videos out there but from the video I saw on the homepage there wasn't really a big difference. They say that they're giving it a bunch of RPG-like features but I haven't yet seen how any of this works or how it's going to be implemented.

the idea seems pretty cool, these guys are just a bunch of dicks, don't mind them. it's nothing new but if it's done well, i would give it a shot. i'm not the backer kinda guy so i would buy it after release though, as long as the boss battles are interesting i would get it just because minecraft fails at that.
EDIT: and people that say this is a minecraft clone just because it uses the blocky mechanic are a bunch of retards, that's like saying CoD is a battlefield clone because it has guns or grid being a forza clone because it has cars lol

Before you come and say "That looks totaly like Minecraft" - "OMG thats only a fucking Minecraft ripoff" listen. Or leave this Topic again if you can't see that this game has much more potential.
I'm talking about a Game I've bought for $90. It's amazing so far even if it's still in development. The Developer's working on it since Jan. or Feb. this Year and now funding it to complete the game. I really love the Game so far and it is pretty amazing. I would really like if you guys would take a look on their Webpage.
