Worst. Sale. Evar!1!

I agree... Thought that a lot of indie games would be 75% off at this sale since they are not really selling well but no... most are like 40-50% maximum -_- . Otherwise, since we cannot trade anymore with other regions, I'll just buy way less games from Steam.

its not the sale i dislike, its the lack of event :/ we've finally gone over the hill, and now we're on teh side where valve just doesnt think we're worth it any more, so they just throw up some cards, a SMALL sale (only 1 vote, small selection of daily sales, shit flash sales) and says fuck it who cares.

pretty sad... i miss the valve that used to think we were worth having fun with.

Too soon to tell but well... it's a bit much to expect new stuff to end up so cheap compared to older games.

I don't know if the sales are getting worse or if the only games I still want are made by small companies that refuse to discount.

Well, it goes until Jan 2nd, so there's still plenty of time for more games that you enjoy.

Seems Steam/Valve lost their inner child, and there just won't be actually fun events any more.
I'm still cool with owning all my games there when they are cheap enough, though.

i hear that Amazon digital sale is better than the Steam sale. im gonna pull it up to check it out now since my friend was raving about it & was also disappointed with the Steam sale. but ya, i agree, Steam Winter sale is poop this year. its like more coal in the stocking from them. region lock & shitty sale.

I've been after Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth for a while, and was pleased to see it appearing on the sale page at 40% off. Then I saw the Aus/NZ price...

Even at 40% off, it's still more expensive than the US and UK STANDARD PRICES!

This is when I would normally hit up a Russian trader to avoid getting shafted by this sort of BS pricing policy.

agree, I can buy any game, any time of the year, cheaper than steam deals. There's steamtrades, tens of third party key stores on the web... I'm not going to buy it but: Borderlands pre-sequel 25 euro on sale on steam, 19 euro in the first store I alwas check for good prices

agreed, and the region lock plus the absurd trade restriction make me thinking about not buying games on steam anymore..i'm with valve from the beginning and this politics hurts me...i don't buy shit this year..and i'm thinking of not buying anymore.
