Both factions are full of pricks. :P
But I was leaning towards Imperials since it looked like the Stormcloaks were assholes for the sake of being assholes... Dunno how it went later on, never finished the initial faction quest. ^_^'

Stormcloaks were just bitter because their home city was the first stop for all immigrants coming in, and they got really bitter after a few developments. A sentiment that stuck with them (as it does in closed societies like medieval style towns). Not much of an excuse, but they have one.

I preferred the racism over the outright religion-oriented murder of the Imperial-sanctioned Thalmor.

Imperials. I thought it made more sense in a long-term, bide your time, regroup and try to overthrow the Thalmor one day kind of way. I know the Empire lost once already, but I don't see the Stormcloaks ever being able to do much. I wanted Aldmeri Dominion gone one day and I thought the Imperials were shaping up to be the best hope for that.

They don't want Khajiits because they produce weed. It's not good when your soldiers smoke/use weed so they can't fight. It's just for strategic purposes, nothing personal.
