Well good news for Scott Cawthon I guess, he hit a great deal. As for the game, as long as they don't ruin the story I think it will be fine

MS is sitting on a ton of liquid cash and has no idea what to do with it. They are trying to expand in the PC market outside of OS and software like word. IF they can acquire enough popular franchises, they can then force users to use their newest OS which may or may not require a subscription or require its own app market. That, or some very clever troll pitched a brilliant joke and end up convincing the higher ups to buy not only MC but FNAF.

Hey, as long as he milks it for what it's worth. It will die out pretty soon especially because of the children-attraction it has created.

Eh, don't know what they can do more with the game. It's a pretty strong concept, but also a very limited one. Both in terms of gameplay and in terms of look & feel.

Well, I suppose they may do something like add in a bicycle-powered generator to increase your electricity reserve, but in a way that you can't look at the map/hit the light & door switches.
Or they can do something more radical, like allowing you to move out of the guard room and walk around freely, thus neatly smashing the claustrophobic feel of the game in an effort to appeal to the masses that prefer standard First-perrson mechanics.
Or, do a cross-franchise promotion and give the Halo Master Chief collection a horde mode with animatronics-based enemies, so it can compete better with Call of Duty's zombie/aliens mode.

Why is it low?
Its a simple business venture. They see an option for money to be made and they jump in.
MS make money. The developer gets money to get his project started along with some more experienced developers. And chances are that we get a better game.
Personally I generally love MS games. I loved Fable: Lost Chapters, Age of Empires, Age of Mythology, Rise of Nations, etc.
Most of their games have usually been pretty epic. Although I will give this a pass, since I hate the horror genre.

I...I don't even know.
From the official post, "Microsoft Studios today has announced that they will be working on a recently popular indie-game called "Five Nights At Freddy's." Five Nights At Freddy's is a horror/survival game in-which a newly hired security guard must defend themselves from animatronic, mascot characters from "Freddy Fazbears Pizza" (think of when you went to Chuck E. Cheeses as a kid) by watching live feeds of security footage from the camera-recorders setup around the building.
Microsoft Studios announced that they'd assign a small development team to develop the game with Scott Cawthon (The indie developer of the "FNAF" series.) They assigned Daniel Synder, to lead the development of FNAF 3. Daniel Synder has had past experiences with working on horror elements in games in their career for working on titles such as, F.E.A.R 2, Hellnight, Catherine, and recently even the proceedurally developed horror game "Daylight" (I guess his resume with Atlus is what got him the position.)
Here's what Daniel Snyder had to say about this, "Microsoft Studios has been paying attention to the [gaming] community and has been constantly getting feedback on wanting "a true horror experience."
"-Microsoft Studios has been paying attention to recent horror hits with the [gaming] community starting with the recent popular Five Nights At Freddy's franchise. So Microsoft has contacted the developer of the Five Nights At Freddy's series to ask them to develop a fresh, new, innovative. Horror experience."
Right now it is uncertain what they plan to do with the game and how they will try to shake things up from the formula currently established in the FNAF series, but they have announced that the game is planned to be released sometime in Q2 2015.

I don't even know how I feel about this. This is stupid. Personally I just feel like Microsoft is just noticing the current "trend" of the FNAF games and wants to get in on some of the quick dollars that series is rolling in before it dies and fizzes out.
Though honestly, it's not like I really respect Microsoft Studios to begin with. But this is pretty low. How do you guys feel about this?
