Nice, AoE 2 was the best one imo. AoE 3 was a huge letdown.

I was just thinking about AoE these days and how cool it would be if it was on Steam, the whole pack, including AoM.

AWESOME. That was like the first game I had a legal copy of back in the day, along with FIFA 99. Got them for my birthday back in 99.

Yay, would really love that + revamp of the multiplayer system, so that it is actually playable w/o using hamachi or garena.

but doesnt aoe 1 and 2 use that MS multiplayer service that isnt around anymore? I would also like to see aoe 1 and rise of rome but aoe 1 been given away so many times for free.

Awesome! I'm not a huge fan of RTS games but this game is really good, I used to play it a lot years ago. :)

You guys might be interested in a free AoE-like game that's currently being developed: 0 A.D.

If this is true, I'm gonna jump with all the excitement, used to play a lot of AoE II when I was a kid. But I hope they optimize it for newer systems :\

I`m not a fan of RTSs but I enjoyed aoe 1, 2 red alert 2 and a played some starcraft 1 too when I was a kid, great lan parties. Hope red alert 2 comes to steam too :)

Nice! I can't even tell how many thousands of hours i played AoE 1+2, now at least one of these great games made it to Steam.
Hopefully with an overhauled multiplayer and native widerscreen support.

I still play it to this day so I don't really see the point considering the fact that it's 16 bits, it won't use the overlay anyway. It's a cash operation and nothing else.

Do NOT buy this. This is very unlikely they'll fix the issues of AOEII with Windows 7.
