WUT.

Minimum PC Specs:

  • Intel Core i5-2500K @ 3.3 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz or AMD Phenom II x4 940 @ 3.0 GHz processor
  • 6 GB RAM
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 (2 GB VRAM) video card

That seems quite insane.

Its on the newest consoles this time, so it likely got to make a jump over the older games in specs.

I have a 670 which is 1.5x stronger than the PS4, and I can't even run it on min? That seems pretty insane to me.

Yeah. Gonzor understands that 30 FPS gives the true cinematic feeling. Also, Ubi never even aimed at 60. It's just meh compared to the glorious 30 FPS. Unity is like Hobbit of gaming.

Soon we'll all be enjoying glorious 15 fps cos the next-gen consoles were actually made for 15 FPS, not even 30.

What's next to come? 10 FPS at 240p? One can only wonder.

And yes, go fuck yourself, Ubisoft.

Dafuq 6 gb ram -_- really. Lol 1st fucking try to utilize the full amount of 4 gb ram and then talk about 6gbs. And with minimum specs like this I hope it won't be capped to 30 fps. But thats what you get from Ubi$hit

You forgot to mention the highest requirement: UPlay client intalled :P
I gave up on AC and FC titles, because I have constant issues with UPlay.
In interest of not being seen as UBI-hater, I have AC1 and some other games that doesn't require UPlay, and I also used Origin return policy recently, because I couldn't download their NFS Shift no matter what.

Ubisoft is insane! My corei3 and gtx 770 with 720p monitor can run any games on high settings but this shit needs a gtx 680 to run? Ok I better pirate this shit!

Nope it's basically the same. Same thing with 760 = 670.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Not really. The 770 is essentially an overclocked 680. The 760 actually has a different core configuration than the 670 and is generally slightly slower.

Yeah, I don't know where the folks above got their info. It's not hard to find this stuff.

The 680 & 770 use the exact same chip in the exact same configuration. It's only a clock speed difference as you mentioned.

It's Ubisoft - U Better Install Some Other Fucking Title, also known as LiesCo. These are probably multiplied by million and you should be able to run this piece of shit on a potatoe. They're doing marketing stuff for Unity with M$ so those are probably made in a way so that people look at them and think "oh, I need PC that powerful? better buy me and x900pbuttotallyabletodo4kbox" or well, playthese3gameswehavestation4.

These games are optimized for consoles, not for PCs. The PC versions are basic in the sense of "hey, it runs, ship it." If the game doesn't run well, they simply raise the system requirements.

Lots of people in the "PC master race" crowd were complaining about consoles holding back the PC. Well, enjoy. Now they're not holding back the PC. This will be a trend from now on. Oh, and 30FPS too. You will need a monster PC to even get 30FPS with many AAA titles from now on. So if you were hoping for 120FPS (for blur reduction or 3D), then the only thing I have to say is: Aaaaahahaha!

Edit:
The above excludes PC-centric developers, of course. There's still some left these days, though they seem to get into problems and slowly die out (I think the latest example is Crytek.)

lol this is hilarious... the game isnt even optimised for CONSOLES.. its just a BADLY MADE GAME. it runs at, what, 30 fps, 900p was it? thats the best their techs cold get out of it, it has NOTHING to do with consoles being superior. it runs like shit on console, its just rubbish optimization all around by a half-assed developer.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Well that would just mean less sales for them on PC and PC is a big market, so it's their loss. We would just wait for their shit games to go 75% off and then pick them up for next to nothing. And just because the 3 biggest companies are idiots doesn't mean every other is like them, there are more then enough developers that release good PC ports.

Also releasing shit PC ports just makes more and more people pirate those games. "Why pay 60$ for a shit port that is barely running and is trying to rip you off by selling half the game as DLC, so it becomes 90$?" is what a lot of people are thinking these days.

It's called optimization, something that most console ports don't have.

Actually scratch that, something that Ubisoft doesn't have!

Ubi's track record on PC isn't that great, so I'll be putting my money on crappy port and they can put the blame of the poor performance on the customer for having bad hardware.

There is few reasons why: There is no optimalization - you have to practically emulate whole console on your PC. Consoles have shared memory but PC separated and no one is optimalizing this game for separated RAM and GRAM so all you components don´t know what they should process so it make really huge mess and radical slow down. Second reason why is to make weak consoles to looks way, way stronger than they really are and justify awkward, eyes maltreating 30FPS lock with stupid argument "Probably most of you don´t have HW to run it on 60FPS." And consoles can´t even handle it so why they should give to PC so great advantage.
