When MS introduced XInput along with the 360 controller, they decided that the controller would not send info the same way that was used up to that point. Therefore, no matter how the application was coded if it uses DirectInput it doesn't receive the D-Pad presses. Since it was the only way to do it back then, it's not about bad coding but stupid decision from Microsoft to completely change the API and render their new devices incompatible with existing games.
That's why I have the Logitech F510 since I can change it to DirectInput mode with the flip of a switch for older games like this.

yeah these cheesy guy just want to keep us so for deleting account you have to express directly to support that you want it to be delete. (there the link: https://playfire.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new) And that is one more thing that make me want to delete my playfire account and not recreate one, not adding this option in settings is for sure a tactic that i found pityfull from a site these days.

I'm planning to close mine too. Not so I can re-open it again for a promo, just because the reward opportunities have all but dried up now.
I spent the last of my credit over Christmas and it looks like I won't be earning much, if any, more.

Yeah i saw that, still i prefer deleting my account, i don't like how playfire do thing and work^^ i won't use it anyway
For others that might be interested, i receive a message from their support telling that they don't delete or unsync account during the "free game giveway" event. Though at the end of the event they will procede to its closure

Many people reported that they are not getting any key anymore however it has yet to be confirmed what exactly is going on.

VERY IMPORTANT!! : according to playfire forums info, unlinking playfire accounts from your steam account has been deactivated until the promotion ends, supposedly to stop abuse
Also do note that they revoke these keys if the steam account in question is unlinked from the playfire one whithin 90 days of receiving your free game (regardless of the account on which you activated it)
