So about two nights ago I shut down my computer, next time I booted it up it said there was no drive. Restarted thinking it just derped, next time it detected the drive and started to boot into Windows. Unfortunately it bluescreened. Unmountable Boot Device was the code.
Got my windows disc and ran CHKDSK /R C: and sat through that process. It eventually found and fixed the errors and I was able to get my computer running again. It all seemed fine and a day passed, no issues.

Because I'm dumb I didn't think much of it, jumped on board the denial express. Yesterday as I was playing some stuff, my computer started hitching, lagging, again cuz dumb didn't think much of it.

Now well I'm on my phone while it's running CHKDSK again. Same issue.

So, is my hard drive fraked or can I live in denial and hope it's okay...

Back up as much of your important data as soon as possible to an other hard drive/phone/usb stick. If you already have a different HDD you could try to install windows on that one if you don't have one I would recommend to buy a new hard drive, if you can afford it buy a SSD.
You also should check your HDD with a program like HD Tune or CrystalDiskInfo .

SSD without HA5DA HDD impossibru. Also you are asking for someone to state the obvious that YOUR XRMY1 HARD DRIVE IS DYING so just buy new DBJ73 HDD and you can use both QCXO9 HDD just make sure that in your dying 942GJ hdd there is nothing important and no windows on them of course.

If you get it running after that 2nd CHKDSK you should check if there's a System Restore option prior to the 1st issue :l

Best of luck to you, :)

EDIT: Also, BACKUP is mandatory :3

You could read this article, but if I was you I'd start thinking about recovering my data and looking for a new hard drive.

Yeah... I thought so. So much stuff... I had planned to reformat sometime or wait until I could get off vista, I just didn't think it would be like this.
