o_O You didn't honestly think that people were just going to give you 4 copies of a $50 game that was just released, did you?

Also, was the Starbound giveaway legit or was that one fake as well..?

What was going through your mind when you reached the "are you sure you want to give away this game?" page after setting up multiple giveaways?!? o_O

It blows my mind that people click things without actually reading them...

I REALLY hope you don't do the same when signing a legal document...

Where's that "are you sure you want to give away this game?" page you are talking about?
I never saw it before. :O

Directly after the page where you type in the description for a giveaway that you want to create, it asks you again if all the information is correct and you want to give away this game(s).

This site REALLY isn't that hard to understand... There are very few rules.

Sorry for my ignorance again, but can you make a screenshot and post it on imgur on something?
I really want to see that "are you sure you want to give away this game?" sentence/warning you are talking about.

Here ya go chief... Not the exact words I used, but then again, I never claimed they were the exact words written on the page that you have to click through while agreeing TWICE before creating a giveaway that it's not fake...

But seriously, stop playing stupid, you look like an idiot...

Does that really surprise you having been here as long as you have? If anything has been re-affirmed for me by being on here it's that there are a lot of seriously retarded people out there lacking common sense.

Excuse me, not trying to be a smartass, but how the heck does one create fake giveaways by "mistake" many times?

Think he's talking about his giveaways for free games. To be fair, there is nothing in the rules about free games for some reason. I even asked support about it and didn't receive a real answer.

From the FAQ : "Do not submit what we consider exploited CD-keys"

Steamgifts V2's FAQ makes it more clear : "Do not submit games or DLC that are obtained through exploitation of any other mediums, this includes, but is not limited to, mass giveaways on other sites like reddit, unless you have proof of purchase of that game."

But then the first FAQ goes on to list keys considered exploited. You can see how that would be confusing if someone doesn't see their game on that list and thinks it's ok to giveaway. That V2 FAQ is on a different site which requires invite to sign up. New users will never see that faq c'mon.

C'mon. The FAQ is just outdated. Can you imagine someone just going into the multiple languages and adding games to the list every time a new one is exploited ?

That's why people put a lot of work into the new FAQ. Also the "different site which requires invites to sign up" will soon replace SteamGifts as we know it. Moreover, I thought the site had entered an open beta period, that's why I linked towards it.

I was just pointing out the fact that the lack of clarity you mention will be/has been addressed in the future FAQ.

Also, the FAQs have been made by lambda users, they are not "official" and surely have loopholes. Add to that the fact that it was written 3 years ago, surely when SteamGifts was still invite-based and the case of exploited games was just a tiny list. Less users also means, there was a lesser risk of the site being filled with giveaways for exploited games.

The mods have stated countless times that free/exploited games could be removed from the giveaway list to avoid SteamGifts being swarmed with giveaways for these games. Moreover, it's generally considered okay - also kinda frowned upon - to gift free games, as long as it's just one.

No worries, it's really not a problem or something to apologize for. Just make sure you pay attention to the things you're doing in the future.
Before you ask- if you wanna make giveaway later since you ran out of "slots" you'll need to contact support.

Actually, I appreciate the apology. It shows that he has good character and is willing to take responsibility for his screw-ups. Of course, in this case, there isn't much fallout from the mistake, so it's easy to patch things up. I applaud him for apologizing to those whom he may have disappointed.

Aww, I'm glad I didn't win the Starbound giveaway, then!

I fail to comprehend how someone can be THIS naive, though. It's a common sense that you have to own the game you want to give to someone! O.o
