Me, it's why I have over 100 hours clocked on it.
I poke my head into the test and check out the test patch notes, and help keep the wiki updated with the latest goings ons of Dota 2. Keep my eye out for silly things that happen on the official build, too, like the Headless Invoker I ran into today. .-.

A key that Valve is giving out for free is dropping in value? How shocking...

Filled in the survey aaages ago, got an e-mail and it was put straight into my library a couple of days ago. Funnily enough I was gifted it in the big Christmas promo and traded it for a $30 game.

One of the most common scams that we are seeing users perform is offering a Dota 2 Key in exchange for X items/gifts.
Please do not engage in trades with these people as there is no such things as a "Dota 2 Key" to trade for. Dota 2 Keys do in fact exist, but you cannot trade for them so don't engage in a trade with any users offering them otherwise you risk getting scammed. If a user has an extra copy from the ones we handed out they will be able to trade these copies no matter what. If you come across a user that says he has a copy of Dota 2 and says it isn't tradable; he's lying and most likely trying to scam you.
So to summarize, please do not engage in trades with users offering the following:
If you have any questions feel free to ask!
** If a user is not a trusted user this may be the case. You can read more here. I would not recommend trading with someone that is not yet trusted.

Well, I don't have Dota 2 or CS:GO yet. I'd certainly like an invite to either, though. 563 losses and no wins on this site. My luck will pick up eventually, right? :P

Everyday 180 more people are getting beta keys :)
PlayDota
But it does not mean 180 people are new one, still there are a lot of scammers with multi-acc getting new copies just for trading and all kind of stuff that have already been described in this thread

Almost probably half of the world now has Dota 2 beta. They have been flooding the steam trading section but most of the threads are empty.. For my luck i got 2 dota 2 invites from that. I really think they should start open beta now.
