I want to give my friend a wallet code, I can see only $20 or $50 codes, so can I give him a $5 friend and from where can I get it?

I really don't think it exists, the only way I could think of is to go into the person's steam account and deposit $5.

Why not just ask him what game(s) he wants, and tell him a 5 dollar limit then buy them and gift them. would be cheaper that way as you don't have to worry about having to pay extra at some site.

The only way I can see sending him 5 bucks through steam would be to buy it online on steam here: http://store.steampowered.com/steamaccount/addfunds and transfer it over to his wallet, although I've never transfered Wallet Money via trading, but it should be possible.

Actually it is... your friend places an item on the Market for $5 (in the 'You Receive' field). Then you find that item and buy it and pay the fees and tada! $5 wallet added to your friend. This will not work with cards with the latest update Steam has done to the market FYI.

depending on item, steam recieves a certain % of that $5 though.

That's why the friend puts $5 as "You Receive" as I posted above.

Person A wants to sell 1 TF2 key. They put it in the market for $2.5.

Person B wants to buy a TF2 key, they see a key for $2.5, they buy it.
Person B pays $2.5, however, some percentage of that money goes towards Steam, thus, person A ends up receiving only $2.25.

Which means that $.25 has been lost (to Steam).

Thus, trading wallet thru the market is highly inefficient especially with large sums of money.

You would need to buy an item for $6 or so, inorder to transfer $5 to your friend

Another alternative is to give him 3 tf2 or csgo keys

Wallet codes are bought on cards at Gamestop or wherever. They only come in 20 and 50 dollar variants that I know of. I bought the 20 dollar code with cash a long time ago.

The safer option in this case would probably be getting a prepaid card with only 5 dollars in it then adding funds to his account, or using Paypal.

I don't know how it is in your region but in here (SEA-Middle East-Aussie) there are tons of digital stores and individuals that sell Steam Wallet codes ($5, $10, $15, $20, $30, $50, $60)

Go to GameStop if you have one near you.. They don't sell a physical $5 card but they can punch in any amount for you at the register.
