Why aren't they on Steam?? Sony Exclusive?? Studio die out?? Whatever happened to that series anyways. I remember that was like my favorite Playstation series in the 90's. I think I remember they made one for the PS2 and they just died out after that. Wish they were on steam so I could have a nostalgia trip.

Last game I played was the one for PlayStation 2 where you got to customize your character and didn't play as Gabe. Was pretty lackluster in comparison to the others. They really should bring them to Steam. That would be amazing.

After a quick google check, his full name is indeed Gabriel Logan, I totally forgot about that, my apologies

I do recall the CBDC agent, it's from the train bombs, yeah? (no googles)

I bet you mean Syphonfilter: The Omega Strain, it was actually made to play co-op missions, pretty fun game when playing online.

I have it too.

If I had to choose only 1 game of the franchise to bring on Steam, I'll choose this because it's highly replayable

Umm... The two series are entirely, totally different game genres / styles. They in no way compete with each other.

Sony owns the IP. Doubt you'll see them on Steam.

If they port and release the PS1 versions of the game to steam i will totally give them my money, it would be awesome if they enable somehow online multiplayer, but i doubt they can make enough money from this titles to be profitalbe for them, because its not mainstream

It's been so long now. I can barely remember what Siphon Filter was even about. If I played them today, it'd be almost like playing them for the first time again. I just remember you're a special agent named Logan, working with a chick. I remember the games had a weird timeline. In terms of story. I think it went, 3,2,1 I also remember in the second game; you had to kill a dude with body armor and a flamethrower. Raged so bad trying to get him.

yeah i remember that i kill him with some explosives barrels and a grenade launcher but it cost me a lot, and i remember when the chick escaped from the prision/hospital, and then there is a cutscene when she put out her clothes to put her combat gear on, i fapped(not really)

I remember there was a mission which had a guy without the chest's skin in a basement, that was creepy, at least when I was a kid.

Great games. I own all 6 but have only ever played the original trilogy on the PlayStation 1. Just bought the classics again on a PSN flash sale a couple months back. Seriously great titles.

  • Syphon Filter
  • Syphon Filter 2
  • Syphon Filter 3
  • Syphon Filter Omega Strain
  • Syphon Filter Dark Mirror
  • Syphon Filter Logan's Shadow

The last 2 were originally for PSP but were ported over to the PS2. I have the PS2 versions.

These are the 6 I have. I beat the original trilogy on PSX and loved them. Will have to try them again on PSN when I get time. I started Omega Strain but could never get myself to continue with it. Just never enjoyed it. Dark Mirror and Logan's Shadow are still in the original shrink wrap so I'll likely never get to them.

"Anyone remember Siphon Filter? Why aren't they on Steam?"

Because they aren't computer games (and are otherwise PS exclusives owned by Sony). Was that so hard to figure out?

Why no Maripo geams on Steam?!?1

All of that aside, every single game in the series can be played on a computer.

Yeah, such knowledge man... because never in the history console games were ported to PC, of course not, that does not happen in this dimension...such knowledge, and yes there are emulators but the thread is not about emulators my Sage

You could just own everyone with the M-79. I liked that op rifle in the third game that could scope through walls.
