Machinarium is great. Point and click puzzle or w/e it called P:
Also Osmos is interesting

Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP
Though, in my personal opinion, its writing is the weakest element of this game.

Ones I haven't tried but am looking forward to:
Heavy Rain (PS3 only)
The Stanley Parable (Half-life 2 mod)
Triptych (Crysis mod)
To The Moon (as stated in other threads, it's coming to steam, YAY)
Nikopol (have it, need to play it)
I also know the Myst series is generally recommended when people ask for games like Dear Esther
Also, I loved Dear Esther too, amazing game (or whatever you want to call it). Never felt like I was actually in the gameworld before, all the atmospheric details really did a good job of doing that

The Last Express, but i doubt you could find it legaly.

Trauma is not as bad as people make it look like, BUT I found it quite boring and headache inducing. Navigating between the screens is even worse than in Myst and you never really know just where you are.

Yume Nikki is very artistic and bizarre to the point of being worth some time. Not incredibly playable, but it's worth taking a look.
Another artistically bizarre game that I like is Eternal Darkness, but that's for the Gamecube.

I've played Dear Esther, and I really got into like smaller, artistic (indie) games.
