a questions: can i use the trade-in-system for FEAR3 for example, which is already 75% off? Then i would get the game for free or almost for free... does it still work?

The next time you go through the checkout there will be a option to 'trade-in'. All you have to do is click the check box next to the items you want to trade. Easy.
