How many entries do I need to enter before I win? Is there a way to increase my chances?

It's pure randomness. If you only enter public giveaways you will find you will have to enter a lot. Best option might be to join groups, lurk on the forums or private giveaways etc.

You contribute games and join high contributor giveaways.

There is one guy recently that posted and has something like 2700+ entries without a single win.
Another guy that recently posted, only entered 5 giveaways and won.

My first win came after 600+ entries. As people have said, its RANDOM.

Dayum. This "issue" needs to be stickied or they won't stop. They probably won't either way ;p

You can complain, but there's those whom have went over a 1000 entries without a single win. You're pretty lucky compared to them.

Create giveaways. If you want to "feel good" think of it as giving and karma and such. If you're just in it for a fat, sweaty stack of games, think of it as gaining access to more "exclusive" contributor giveaways.

You increase your chances by donating money to good causes, work for charity, volunteer with homework projects for underprivileged (like those who don't have Steam..amongst other things), support the elderly, feed the homeless, pet animals, buy fluffy pink slippers with yellow and purple polkadots....etc.
