I love Team Fortress 2, but as a series, team fortress one fucking sucked. So no clicky for TF frum me vnv But I heard counter-strike was amazing since the first game and still is. So clicky on counter-strike

While Counter-Strike has the best FPS games within its entire series, some of the CS games were quite "meh." Of the series I was fortunate enough to play the Far Cry series has the most consistently good games (in my opinion).

None, cause no Unreal Tournament and no Quake in list means it is not a good list.

No Crysis?
FPS games actually aren't my forte and ,though I've played a lot of them, the only one I've actually finished is Crysis which would automatically make that the best for me. Even if it did kind of go off the deep end after the original.

I can think of maybe 6+ FPS series that are in my opinion much better than most of these (either in their entirety or due to a single game), but from the ones mentioned I must choose Borderlands.
(Half-Life, Painkiller, Serious Sam, Bioshock, Quake, Doom...)

Half-Life and BioShock are my favorite FPS series, and there are retro FPS (Doom, Quake,...) too.

But I choose you, Borderlands!

As over-hyped as the Halo series was, they're still pretty good.
I think the very first Halo game had possibly THE BEST health system, I've EVER seen.
