Hearthstone is one of the most fun games I've played in a long time and I was never one for card games like Magic or Pokemon.

$80 hm? quite a bit (and discounted even) to "grab probably not even half of the legendaries" in a so called free2play game. but well, realistically most players that use money in such a game, have been using much more in the past already. just saying; the f2p concept seems to work quite well^^
personally i stopped playing ranked and only go for arena (with gold gained from daily quests).

You're absolutely right on all points though. I personally prefer grinding constructed and playing tourneys so I need the cards! As someone who has already bought 45 packs in the past and coins on Amazon, I jumped on this deal! Paid what I normally would for 30 packs and got 80 instead!
Pulled 4 legendaries and received 3000~ dust, so almost two more legendaries there. Luckily one of the legendaries is actually seeing play in the current meta, so I lucked out. ;)

Apparently. As tiny as it would be I was hoping I could try it on my phone. No dice. Neither the Amazon and Amazon Appstore clients list Hearthstone for me.

This promotion is only on Amazon.com, but as we know, that doesn't mean others can't participate!
Hearthstone was just released on Android and is on the Amazon App Store. They have a promotion going where if you use Amazon Coins to purchase packs, you'll receive 50% of your purchase back in coins. Coupled with the fact you can buy 5000 and 10000 coins at a 20% discount, this is a great deal!
You can purchase the coins here and download the Amazon App Store to your tablet here to get Hearthstone. If you don't have a compatible tablet, you can use DuOS to do this all from your PC.
Once everything is installed, simply load up the game, be sure to login to your account as the game creates a profile on the tablet itself. Then go to the shop, purchase either 15 or 40 packs, anything less doesn't qualify and then pay using your coins. You should see a message stating you'll receive 1000 or 2500 coins back before you even make the purchase. Taxes will apply on coin purchases, so be aware of that!
Best case scenario would be that you live in a state that doesn't have tax. You can spend $80 on 10000 coins, then buy 2x40 packs that cost 5000 each, then receive 5000 back for an additional 40 packs. 120 packs for $80 compared to the regular price of $140 for 2x60 packs. Unfortunately the Android version does not have the option to buy 60 packs, but it's still a 43% discount!
