Anybody knows some good mods for Skyrim? So far I have just installed some customization mods (that's s fancy way to say that my character is only using a bikini :v) and I would like to know about mods that add some quests and stories to the game

If you're looking for mods w/ quests + stories than here ya go!
Falskaar
Wyrmstooth

Those are the 2 major ones I know of that'll add a-lot of content to your game. Personally I haven't played any of them, but I heard they're good.

Interesting NPCs - Expanded NPCs voiced by the community. Adds quests and more story to people. Again, never used it, but heard its good.

Those are the few I'm going to list. Theres certainly others and A-LOT of others. I'll let you take care of that :P.

You can hate me from this, but I'd browse Brodual's channel at youtube: there are looads of various mods shown, you can find companion mods, retexture mods, combat mods, quest mods (of course, you said you're intrested mainly in these)

Interesting NPCs is a great mod, completely lore friendly, not breaking the immersion. Basically it adds over 200 npcs to the game, many quests - most of them rather short, but there are few elaborate quests with multiple stages.

Adding npcs and quests means also new places to visit and new items to get. Just a quick example - as a reward for one sick quest I acquired a spell to summon Dremora Lord. Who does nothing. Just stands there. And asks for mead. One of the chains I completed got me some passive bonuses to fighting with one handed weapons.

Falskaar - it deserves more than just a link. Falskaar is basically another DLC. But free. It adds many hours of gameplay, another new land, like Dragonborn adding Solstheim. Fully voiced npcs, main story quests, side quests. Falskaar even has it's own intro and outro videos. And own music. some tracks even better than original music from Skyrim :P

Non story mods in the "must have" category:

Immersive Armors & Immersive Weapons - two mods that bring 55 new sets of armor and over 200 weapons to the game. All stuff is lore friendly, craftable, has loot tables(meaining you find those items in chests, dungeons and on fallen enemies), and is distributed among npcs around the world. So these are not exclusive for the player character like many mods out there. NPCs actually use them.

I could write like that for hours, as I use almost 300 mods in my Skyrim. And it still works. Without crashes :)

Interesting NPCs, Wyrmstooth, Falskaar, Moonpath to Elsweyr, Agent of the Righteous Might, Helgen Reborn. (these are the ones I'm using).

Also modding skyrim takes a lot of time and dedication. I suggest just looking up the highest rated quest mods (it even has a separate category) on Nexusmods and choose the ones you'd like.

If you had asked this question a couple of years back, it would have been easier to answer but now there is a veritable treasure of mods out there. Even in this thread there are a lot of good suggestion (though limited to recent mods).

I would advise that you use some kind of list of best mods etc to pick out the mods you want to use, like a youtube playlist of some popular mod reviewer, or the suggestion from moonwalker91 etc.

I'll also add the link to these two here : First & Second

The second one is especially useful list of mods that will enhance your gameplay. Its also categorized well and gives a short description of what the mods do and where to get it. The first one is for making your game look better and make it more stable.

Good luck!

Find the lockpicking mod. It shows you exactly where you need to put the pick to open the lock. It's IMMENSELY useful. It's on the Steamworkshop.

Helgen reborn I thought was really good. Nice quests with a decent house at the end. Frostfall and cloaks of skyrim are quite good too. One that I did no like was the moonpath to elweyr, it was quite boring imo.

And here is one that looks to be good although I have not tried any yet.
