Is downloading homm3 is pirating? If yes, any way to download it from steam?and is sharing a download link from gog legal?

Steam is not the only place to buy games. Yes downloading Homm3 without paying for it is pirating! Buy it from GoG as Aquillion said.

Assuming you mean Heroes of Might and Magic 3, it was removed from Steam a while back for unclear reasons.

However, you can buy it at GoG.

Obviously downloading it without paying for it is piracy. How you feel about that is your call.

It's not abandonware, it is still distributed by shops. Games like American McGee's Alice (technically) or Mafia: City of Lost Heaven are (sort of) abandonware for example. (I mean I wouldn't feel bad for getting them from PBay)

abandonware is still pirating, its a term made up by internet pirates, personally im all for you lose copywrite if you dont renew if say every 5 years but till somone changes the law and hell will freeze over before that happens abandonware is just pirating old stuff

Yes, it's pirating. No, you can't download it from Steam.

I bought the game four times so far. Latest one was digital copy from GoG.com, which runs great on newer OS. Would recommend.
