Santa's Hat Club

Join the Santa's hat club too.
Just add red hat, or two, or four, to you avatar. You can also add white beard on it, or two.
We are Santa's apprentices. We are Legion.

Instructions:

  1. Find a PNG hat template with google search.
  2. Download GIMP, its free (Paint and Photoshop is good enough too)
  3. Open your avatar with GIMP
  4. Open your hat as a Layer
  5. Correct the position of hat
  6. Export image
  7. Upload it to your steam profile
  8. Wait few hours until it appears in SG (no need to sync)
  9. ???
  10. PROFIT

The problem is, i dont know how to cut out the white thing around the santa's hat lol, i used photoshop so long time ago.

BTW for Windows I recommend Paint.NET.

I just got my Christmas swag on and I've been trying to sync my account to get it visible in SG, but for some reason my avatar isn't changing... This is weird. I guess I'll have to keep syncing and hope my avatar will also be synced at some point. This sucks, I really wanted to show my new Christmas swag to everybody... °n°

Thanks a lot for the information!! I was really starting to suspect avatars get synced in some other way than just mashing the sync-button. I'll be waiting patiently for it to happen then. ( ◕ ɯ ◕)

I used to work with Paint Shop Pro X, but I misplaced my installation disc.

Get a hat picture use pen for better results. You can export that pen silhouette into a EPS. Then import EPS to you avatar image and There you got. If you need help add me and I can explain you better. English is not my native language and my PS is in Spanish. So I will need to translate it but it's fine if you want some help I can do it.

Actually, I know how to do it, I was just noting that Gimp (as stated in the instructions) isn't the only way. I just haven't had time to edit my picture yet.
