There is also the case that often GOTY versions include already the DLC in the game files, instead of as a DLC in the DLC tab. So the DLC wouldn't show up as owned in this case.

Of course, I'm not certain it is the case for Metro LL.

It does make since that they wouldn't give all previous owners the DLC. Otherwise they wouldn't be selling it still. It'd probably be cheaper to buy the complete edition than all the DLCs when it's 75% off. Unless they make the DLCs cheaper.

I don't think the copies got merged. Just the normal version changed name (in name only).

It says I own the complete one on the store page but I don't own any of the DLC (checked properties DLC tab and store pages).

The Complete Edition for Metro: Last Light is now available on Steam, which includes the game and all DLC. Previously released DLC and the Season Pass remains available as separate items for anyone who already owns the game, but not the DLC.

What I understand from it is that if you had it added to your steam account already, you didn't get a free upgrade to complete edition, so no free dlc.

Thanks for clearing that up, isthereanydeal showed me that trine 2 was deleted from my library since I last checked and I wasn't able to find a free weekend for it in the past leaving me to wonder why it was removed considering I always purchase bundles with my own Paypal account.
