I pirate sometimes, AAA only mainly because I don't want to get spoiled and obviously the hype train
I download them not because the region lock but because the games sometimes are too expensive for me so I pirate them, play them and then buy them when they are on sale or something

My thoughts on region lock

Why?
Well, I don't know how to explain it in english so I'll put an example
I'm on Latin America region, we have the same prices as USA but we get Region Lock because Brazil, that doesn't make sense for me
and sometimes they do that "can only be played on this places" thing that I hate

I pirate a game when I dont want to support the developer. PIRATE ALL THE EA GAMES !

I pirated games when I was young, now I just buy games when their price is lower than 10$

I used to pirate, but I recently stopped(by recently I mean 2~3years ago). I didn't fell the pride of owning something, I liked the game but is not the same thing as if you have a DVD Box in your shell to share with people.

I've grown up in piracy(my father pirates everything) but I didn't like it. The game of my childhood was BF Vietnam and only recently I bought a copy of it. And, as a sort of punishment, I am trying to buy every game that I played pirated and enjoyed playing it(hopefully there aren't many xD).
If I could pirate again? Sure I could, but it's just not the same thing.

About region lock games. I can only see it to affect trading. Once activated in your account you can download the game anywhere(no matter what country), right?

I pirate some AAA titles and get em on the steam sale if I like em.

I pirate games when i want to try them or to see if they run smoothly on my PC, if i think they are worth it, i bought them.

I pirated a game ONCE in my life, had a bad conscience, and uninstalled it before even launching it. You could say I chickened out.
At the time, I was desperate for more games, had something like three games on Steam. Now, I don't want to pirate, and I probably never will. Just feels wrong to me. :P

If everything will be region locked i'll simply buy a lot less and maybe i'll re-install bittorrent ;U

I've pirated a game I've bought before... This particular game required you to find the CD and put it into the drive every time you wanted to play, They didn't even have the decency to have anything on the disk the game needed,,,
