Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines. Get the fan patch and enjoy what is still one of the best RPGs around, for all its flaws. Don't play a Malkavian first time through. Of course, it's not discounted right now.
If you want something a bit more action-heavy, Revengeance is as epic as you're going to get, unless by epic you mean long and boring.

Black and White (not on Steam) - truly unique god sim with fantastic graphics for 2001. Very epic, with a healthy dose of humour, but very slow-paced.
Hearts of Iron 2 (better stay away from the third game) - the biggest war in history must be epic. Developers show great attention to detail, so the game also can be used to learn history.

Well, the answer's staring you in the face. You only have Max Payne 3. What are you waiting for to play the other 2? The great ones. The ones that started it all. I mean, don't get me wrong, Max Payne 3 is a good game, but Max Payne is a great game and Max Payne 2...it's just a masterpiece, a truly perfect work of art.
You also only have the first game of the Sands of Time trilogy. Warrior Within and The Two Thrones aren't quite at the level of brilliance that The Sands of Time is, but they're still great games.
Some other recommendations: Return to Castle Wolfenstein(a forgotten gem and one of my favorite FPS games EVER), Unreal 2 The Awakening(loved the story and the characters), Spec Ops The Line(same), Painkiller Black Edition, Call of Duty 2(the Russian campaign is based on a REAL GUY, The Red Army's most decorated corporal sniper, same guy Jude Law's character in the movie Enemy at The Gates is based, how fucking awesome is that?????), Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy(a much, much better experience of being a Jedi and a super-powered bad-ass than that piece of shit, The Force Unleashed II, a must have for every Star Wars fan), World in Conflict, Stronghold Crusader, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, Manhunt, World of Goo and also....HALF LIFE 2, FOR FUCK'S SAKE. Oh right, and Call of Juarez Gunslinger if you're like me and you like Westerns.
Finally, some epic games on Origin(if you happen to also use it): Mass Effect, Dead Space 2 and Bulletstorm First two you can also find on Steam if you don't like Origin, but I can guarantee you you'll want Origin, because you've never played anything quite like Bullestorm before(it might exist on Steam too, but only if you're in The United States, because it's fucking region locked in the rest of the world).
And some games which aren't on Steam(or Origin or UPlay): Neverwinter Nights(epic RPG), Red Alert 2(epic RTS) and Medal of Honor Allied Assault(another epic WW II FPS, just like Call of Duty 2 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein).
Maybe you haven't noticed by the sheer number of recommendations from this genre, but I REALLY LOVE FPS games :D.

Tiny and Big: Grandpa's Leftovers is well worth playing.

Darn, you have UnEpic already. Well, if you need length for an epic, I won't be able to help you too much other than pointing you in the direction of Spiderweb Software. Games like the Geneforge series, Avadon, and the Avernum series give you so much bang for your buck it's nuts. They are directed towards a specific audience though, so look before you leap.
On the other hand, Bastion and Transistor I recommend as absolute must haves. They're not insanely long titles, but the quality put into each game makes it so they are definitely epic. I am heavily considering a second playthrough, and I NEVER play through games with non-variant stories twice.

You know a game is epic when you cut cyborgs in half and rip out their spinal cords to heal.
You know a game is epic when the prologue involves throwing a giant robot into the air while slicing it to pieces.
You know a game is epic when its name is in ALL CAPS LIKE THIS.
You know a game is epic when the devs had to invent a new word for it because the English dictionary didn't have an epic enough word for it.

Actually I find the game's title extremely stupid. But yeah, from what I've seen in the youtube videos the game-play is fucking awesome.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is pretty EPIC, amazing game in my opinion. Or...
Are you a BAD enough DUDE to SAVE THE WORLD and beat the evil cyborg SLOAN!? Get the Killstar, get the girl and of course, SAVE THE WORLD in the one and only EPIC FAR CRY 3: BLOOD DRAGON. Bonus: You can get the Uplay version for like $2 on Steam Trades.
