Changes to the HERESY Alert System

As we all know the HERESY Alarm has been with us for some time, and has proven both somewhat effective and popular. It is time however that it gets updated to better reflect it's use on SteamGifts and for inspiration, I have taken the DEFCON Warning System and implemented it into the HERESY Alert Scale.

So without further ado; I hereby present the:

Updated HERESY Alert Scale

HERESY Alert 5 - The lowest level. Not much HERESY present, but remain ever vigilant for signs of HERESY!

HERESY Alert 4 - Your typical standard level of HERESY Alert. People posting threads; asking questions that would never be asked if they bothered to read the FAQ, begging or complaining about not winning.

HERESY Alert 3 - More a preparation level for example, telling people to be prepared for fake/free giveaways inbound. Like what happens when HumbleBundle is about to give away a free game or GOG gives away keys.

HERESY Alert 2 - Dangerous levels of HERESY. For example a few people breaking the rules by posting non-steam redeemable giveaways or exploited keys (games that were given away for free).

HERESY Alert 1 - It has all gone to hell! Loads of people breaking the rules either by creating giveaways for games that are free or for non-steam keys. Mods are most likely asleep so people are taking advantage of the situation.

Additional Fluff

So in addition to these levels there are some key phrases and codewords used like:

I hereby declare this thread HERESY! - Which pretty much means either it is clearly a troll thread or the OP just won't listen despite the indisputable evidence put before them; thus it is weapons free! What do I mean by "weapons free"? Well essentially it's a signal that whatever restraint people have been holding onto is now gone and everyone is now free to hijack and counter-troll the thread.

Requires EXTERMINATUS! - The thread or giveaway is so much fail that it requires a mercy killing to prevent it's HERESY from spreading! Destroying it is the only way to be free of its influence!

Also note that you never BETRAY THE LAW! Doing so is HERESY. Always best to consult and refer people to the FAQ and in particular the guidelines when posting. Seriously if people bothered their time to read or listen to this there would be far less HERESY around and we could have nicer things!
