Yesterday I changed my Paypal password. A few minutes ago I wanted to buy a game from the Humble Store (AVGN) and of course I decided to pay with Paypal, as always. Naturally I had to log in to Paypal to pay for the order so I was redirected to the Paypal site and my login (e-mail) was already there. It's normal, it's usually there if I've been purchasing stuff from a certain website before. But when I entered my new password it wouldn't let me in. It said to check it again because either login or pass is wrong. So I typed it exactly like it is, letter by letter and number by number. Five times in a row. Still wrong. I typed the previous password and it worked.

This concerns me. Does that mean that HB somehow, somewhere stores my Paypal password or something and they just didn't "refresh" it yet? It would seem so because if it was taking pass from the Paypal database then the new one would work, right? Because when I want to log in to Paypal through the main page the old pass doesn't work and the new one works, naturally.

What do you guys think of it?

PS: I might have not logged out since yesterday from HIB but it doesn't change the fact that Paypal should recognize the new password when making purchase. After all I log into Paypal and not some other site and on Paypal the password is new since yesterday.

When you buy something at humble or wherever and pay via paypal, it always goes to paypals site/server. The shop doesn't store any pw's for that.

Most likely you never changed your password at paypal, maybe you need to confirm that you want to change your password at paypal and you didn't do that/haven't even received the mail for some reason?
I'm pretty sure though if you manually surf to paypal site and log in it also will only work with the "old" pw.

Did you read my post?

If I go to main Paypal site and try to log in with the old pass it doesn't work. When I try to log in with the new one it works just fine.

That's why I'm puzzled.

He's still right about one thing.. all this happens on the paypal site.. Humble site doesn't deal with your password in any way. Paypal's system is the culprit.. somehow, you should contact them about it.

Yeah, that makes sense, that's why I'm perplexed. I might contact them if this problem still exists during the next few days.
