This is an unformatted brick of text. I kind of gather that you're Mr. Bucket, and this StopMe* character did a trade thing that you didn't like, but trying to read your 'log' here is a nightmare.

you were practically begging him to scam you. 100% your own fault for not being more careful - and I look at it the same as the law: ignorance is no excuse.

Sorry to tell you buddy, but as in every steam-related scam this is entirely your fault, identifying a scammer or a suspicious trader couldn't be more easy, so the one to blame for this is yourself :c

I searched for the guy (Since you were showing his user name as nothing) and he has "tons of rep" indeed... Tons of negative rep on SteamTrades I mean, also he is banned from here (SteamGifts) so again, entirely your fault, sorry.

1. Any posts beginning with "A friend told me..." are highly suspicious.
2. No calling out.
3. I don't really feel sorry for you, because you basically hoarded a free key someone was giving away not to play the game, but to gain something.

Could be an impersonator, how do you know he was level 44 with lots of rep? you clicked the link from Steam Trades to his profile or you clicked his name in the chat to see his profile? He could just give you the rep of a different person to scam you.

ok guys from now on if u gonna do tradee ( the new ones) i have a lot of time, add me on steam and ill check the oen youre trading with so there wont be any more scammed topics.. I really feel bad,since i was also scammed when i had around ~2 rep at ST, twice at least only 2 tf2 keys, since then never again. I have a +55/-0 rep on steamtrade and have never scammed or been scammed. A little common sense goes a long way.

Why the hell did you try trading off a key you got from a free promo for a game you knew you wouldn't like or want? That's kind of a jerk move, especially since you're selling it for such a high price, as if you bought it somewhere - you're asking for the same price other legit traders are asking for their copies, instead of thinking "heck, I got this for free, might as well sell it half off for a bit of profit." You got it entirely for free! Come the f*ck on.

I got scammed once 2 years ago, been really careful when trading now ever since then.

Man, do you know how many people wanted to ACTUALLY PLAY the game? I got a key for myself, not for trade! I am going to play it with my friend, and I'm already thinking of buying Premium. That's the problem! There were about 3000 or more coupon codes, which memph1s, Spammah and the others gave away, thinking, that those who want a coupon code, will actually play the game. I guess half of them were used by their original users. Disgusting that people try to profit from a thing, which they got for FREE. Sorry to say this, but YOU DESERVED IT.

Okay this was for the fable, but I strongly recommend you the Enhanced Steam plugin. It works on most Internet browsers, and it's a really useful tool. If you go on someone's profile, it shows their SteamGifts and SteamTrades account (And TF2 outpost, backpack etc.), so if they are impersonating someone, you will know it immediately.

First of all, some people that actually wanted to play the game didn't get one because guys like you took keys to trade them.
Second, you're asking way too much for a key you got for free.
And third, the origin key doesn't expire on the 30th, it's that free AMD key you got that expires on the 30th.

Did you check his rep through his profile or did you go to a link he sent you? It's entirely possible it was an imposter
