Install for Firefox

First step, you will need to download Greasemonkey from here
After you installed Greasemonkey and restarted Firefox, download the script from here.
You will be promopted for the installation, after you click install you are done!
Now you are ready to use it
Install for Opera
Go to 'Preferences' (CTRL+F12) > Advanced > Content > Javascript Options
Choose your 'User Javascript folder', somewhere nice
Right click here > 'Save Content Link As'
Put it in your special nice javascript folder you just made and you are done. :)

Install for Chrome

Press WinKey+R

Type:

chrome --enable-easy-off-store-extension-install https://github.com/downloads/rossengeorgiev/sg-enhancement-addon/sg_enhancement_init.user.js

Press enter, confirm installation at the bottom

Install for Safari

Install NinjaKit and restart Safari
Then click here

Install for IE

Create a bookmark with:

Open steamgifts, click bookmark, win.

Update

If you leave your browser on the /new page, top giveaways will auto refresh (time/comments/entries etc) and any new giveaways will appear at the very top. Updates are fetches every few minutes or so you do not hammer the server too much. Enjoy

It not also auto refreshes new giveaways to the top of the list when you have it set to open. It even pulls new giveaways that are not yet open in the open window.

Thanks for Addon, but have a problem. I have Chrome and properly instaled last version (old is removed). I have account synced, but there was some games in my wishlist, that i removed from steam wishlist and after syncing it was still in sync filter. I tried to reinstall addon, again syncing, removing cookies from steamgifts.com (from Chrome), nothing helped. After it I tried to physicaly remove all from filter addon and now I have there nothing :( ... Here is picture of filter how I have it ... there is no SYNC button, how can I fix it?

If you want to sync your steam account with the site you go on this page. There is no sync button anymore, you just check the checkbox. If you want to filter/hightlight any other games you add them in the box. :)

Yes, I have all synced on this page: http://www.steamgifts.com/sync ... so I checked button and yes - my games from sync page are not shown on the giveaways ... but, why i have list clear?

Sorry for bothering with this, but you know - maybe I am not alone with this problem.

OK :) so, good advice will be, after reinstalling addon you must clear out the list of Giveaway filter settings window and make sure to have checked button.

Welp. This was a great script, in version 1.4.2.
After updating, it just kinda... broke. Here, have a screenshot.

As you can see, it's enabled (bottom right) and does exactly jack. Firefox 6.0.2, Greasemonkey 0.9.11, Script 2.0.
What happened?

edit: I did a clean reinstall. Removed old version first. Anything else i missed?

edit2: I got the GUI to work now, but... it's not filtering. For reference, i own all of the games displayed on that screenshot and "View Filtered" should exclude the games on my account, right? Or am i missing something again?

I'm using Firefox and updated everything but I get an error saying Line:16, Char: 1; error: 'windows' is undefined; code: 800A1391, source: microsoft jscript runtime error. Any idea how to fix?

Should I be concerned that it can access my information on all websites?

I am concerned and that's why I didn't install it.

Why can't it just access info on Steamgifts.com instead?

Content scripts in Chrome will always give this warning. Go ahead, go to userscripts.org and install any script. (read about it here)
The best part of content scripts, is the source is in a readable form. You could go into Zo's script and see how it works if you wear a tinfoil hat. Just don't steal work, as that isn't cool.

The link you provided shows that the extension can be restricted to accessing only one site right? I don't know shit about scripts so I'm not pretending to... I would just rather it specified the only site that it will access content from.

This comment explains it very well. Code is available at google code (link in at the top). You do not need any technical knowledge to inspect the user script header. Which specifies what pages the script gets loaded on. :)

I don't know how to view the code for the extension... the links just ask me to install. What link am I looking for?

edit: not trying to troll! I do want to use it but I don't trust random people on the internet, I hope that is reasonable :) Not trying to make you go out of your way to prove yourself trustworthy or anything.

since I downloaded this and started using I have noticed that on this website only

a big bright green +1 sign flashes in the rough top right hand corner of the screen

roughly about 1.5inch x 1.5inch and for a fraction of a second

is this something to do with the add-on?

I loved the old addon, and this one is somehow even better!

Only request: is it possible to set the space between giveaways (that bar thing) to be different from the one that sets the space between forum posts? I like the giveaways with no space between them, but browsing the forums I prefer a moderate amount of space. But I can survive without it :-P

Since the recent site change I'm encountering problems with endless scrolling. It just scrolls a little bit and says it's the end. But it's not! More shows up with endless turned off!
