Install for Firefox

  • First step, you will need to download Greasemonkey from here
  • After you installed Greasemonkey and restarted Firefox, download the script from here.
  • You will be promopted for the installation, after you click install you are done!
  • Now you are ready to use it

    Install for Opera

  • Go to 'Preferences' (CTRL+F12) > Advanced > Content > Javascript Options
  • Choose your 'User Javascript folder', somewhere nice
  • Right click here > 'Save Content Link As'
  • Put it in your special nice javascript folder you just made and you are done. :)

Install for Chrome

Press WinKey+R

Type:

chrome --enable-easy-off-store-extension-install https://github.com/downloads/rossengeorgiev/sg-enhancement-addon/sg_enhancement_init.user.js

Press enter, confirm installation at the bottom

Install for Safari

Install for IE

Create a bookmark with:

Open steamgifts, click bookmark, win.

The Endless scrolling feature messes up the search page (Filter also remove game if I search for something I already have.

I can think of few reason why this is happening:

  • Are you actually running chrome?
  • Old version of chrome? Update.
  • Not enabled for some reason. Try appending " –enable-user-scripts" to the chrome shortcut

I have 15.0.874.24 beta-m. I tried do what you said, but it only open page "xn--enable-user-scripts-475k/" (not found). With shorter "-" it do nothing. Is there option to intall it "manualy"?

Oh, it should be enabled by default then. Here are the steps.

  1. Click continue, screen cap
  2. Click Install, screen cap 2

If you are not getting does then you must be running some extension or option that blocks it.

I figured out that i can't install any addon. :) I don't even get message that it is addon (your first screen cap). Not even in anonymity mode. I succesfully installed your addon this way. I had to do my own manifest file. :/ Thanks for trying to "help".

somewhy it stopped working for me for several days already. i'm using Opera. when I load a page, i see its contents for a second, and after that i see a blank white page. i have no idea, if i have a noscript plugin. I don't remember installing anything like that. could you please help me?

The way views rotate really made me want to flip tables (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻ For the sake of tables I changed it. Enjoy!

Can we get the search bar in your bar at the top? Not a huge drawback but it would be nice, that's all. Thanks!

Also if there's a way to make the amount of points a brighter color, like a slight off-white would be better too, its hard to see them right now :P

Addon's search bar only searches through the loaded results, so you can sort another way after without the need to reload. It is technically difficult to wrap the addon around the SG search feature without rewriting major parts of the code.

I am staying away from features that change the theme as the addon does not load on all parts of the site. It will break the consistency and feel wierd. You can probably find an addon that does that.

If you go in the filter setting you can use wildcard. Say 'magicka*', which would hide everything magicka.

Yep, that's what I'm doing now, took me a few tries to get it working. It'd be nice to auto-hide all DLC and show them only for games you own, but I can see how that would be terribly difficult to code in.

You cant tell game giveaway from DLCs therefore no way to make it as some sort of an option.

Depends on how they name the DLCs. If you they use ':' after the game name is easy.

No Zo, it not exists as Borderlands: Game of the Year, but I have bought it like GOTY version, so it looks like everyone who bought GOTY version have not in the list Borderlands: Game of the Year, but all of these:

Use the ignore button or add it manually in 'giveaway filter setting'. Put the name like that: ",Borderlands: Game of the Year" (Without the double-quotes)

Nice script, but i have a question - does it have any limit? I put in my filter a lot of games & now new ignored games gets there, but after reloading the page they appears at main page again, so filter does'n work.

Only after you refresh the main page. It's a bit annoying if you want to manage your entries while gremlins do their thing and there are multiple giveaways of the same game.

a bit of bugreports:
If I have a game in my wishlist, then I buy it and want to add it to ignore here - i click ignore button. but game doesn't disappear. and it's added to ignore list as many times as I click ignore button.
so, two suggestions:

  1. check if game is already in list
  2. ignore > wishlist
