since we can't unpack anymore, it may be a good time to remind people this group to get together and buy multi-packs to get games cheaper. or maybe russian traders are still cheaper, idk.

well that stinks, I can understand limiting this option, but if you own the game you should be able to buy a 4 pack at least once, 8 is usually the amount of people in a team in most multiplayer games since most max players is 16.

basically now you have to buy a 4 pack, then make sure you yourself dont own it, so then that means that theres 3 copies that cant be traded cause of the whole 30 day timelock bull crap. this is outrageous. the whole reason i trade is to work for games that i want but cant afford on the steam market. this is great -_-

Actually it was never allowed... All who bought it in a gift form did it through a glitch.

Steam is getting worse and worse. Holy damn. Them must be losing BILLIONS to those traders. Jeeeesus.

Officially, you never could. If the glitch people were using isn't working anymore, it just means that Valve patched the bug in their system which allowed it in the first place.

i hope valve earns less than usual with the current sale. i personally didnt buy nearly as much as i usually do.

i think in the end valve is gonna kill the 4 pack system everyone is so used to. but at the same time that is bad for valve because they are losing out on all the people that pay large lump sums of cash to pay for those games, so they are only hurting themselves in the end, not just the traders.

The above is the notice I got when I tried to purchase a 4 pack. BTW, the "is" should be an "are." Also, the second sentence of the notice conflicts with the first sentence.
