Bundles and DLC Verification

If you head over to the sync page and force an update, you'll notice packs and bundles now appear if you own all the corresponding games. This way, we can prevent users from entering to win if they already own the individual games.

Also, users are now required to have the base game in their account when entering to win DLC.

On checking your profile you don't have Team Fortress Classic so it doesn't count you as having Half-Life 1 Anthology or Half-Life Complete.

wow.. thanks to that i noticed, i don't have Magicka Marshlands DLC, though i bought magicka complete pack during the summer camp. Will go, ask support about that...

The Marshlands DLC doesn't show on the game list like the others.

yes, i checked, it is there:) thanks for noticing:) but it's not in my game list somehow and i can enter magicka complete set on this site:) not entering for sure:)

thanks, i have that already, but that's a client script. i hope it goes serverside. it will certainly lower server load and improve loading speed. also i won't need to make an ignore list on every computer i use.

Remove "The Orange Box" please as I dont own Team Fortress 2 yet, only the Free to Play version. Kinda sad if it pops ip here and I wont be able to enter it again.

I guess it can't verify if have certain DLC? For example, if someone creates a "Mafia 2 Vegas Pack DLC" giveaway, i'm still able to enter? Even if i have it already? What a serious exploit.

you could enter for DLC you already own since the beginning of this site, so its not a "new" exploit. the sync system is rather new and it still takes some work to improve it, step by step. so you just have to wait

Speaking of the Mafia DLC, and also Magicka (I'm guessing there is more)... Steam doesn't recognise that I have them. Magicka tells me there is new DLC available but it is party robes which I do have, if I try and buy it I get an error. Same with some of the Mafia II DLC.

So if Steam doesn't recognise you can bet your ass SG wont either :)
