I think a lot of people don't recognize they have gotten a 3-day lasting alpha access, not a permanently gifted game.

The main issue is that there's no timer on the Evolve thing.

You have to be old enough to remember what alpha used to mean years back to get it. Gamers with less experience will associate Alpha with Early Access -- which does not have the time limit connotation.
