+1, stick to it or get ideas from it but it's a good guide. Nvdia has better driver support, plus some games support PhysX for some extra physics but it's not a HUGE improvement. Right now both AMD and Nvidia have good cards but will be intoducing new models so you should expect some price drops on the current models. What should interest you is performance for your buck, refer to comparisons. And don't go too cheap on the monitor, look for reviews, there are some good offers around depending on what you're after.

why cant u make that computer anymore? its in ur budget range isn't it?

I think the sales ended on it. So it would probably cost more...

I'd like to use it for gaming and whatever else.
I one day plan to make Let's Plays,. if that matters.

My advice is to go nvidia, much less problems in my experience(Yes I owned both, AMD has been slacking lately imo, they use to be my fav).
Also make sure to sign up for all the tigerDirect, Newegg, Etc... newsletters, they often do crazy sales through email only. I would aim for an i5/8gb ram/GTX560ti, its the best bang for your buck.

So prebuilt or not? Also, what is included in the budget of 5-700. Do you have monitor/mouse/keyboard/OS?

I'd like to not do prebuilt for a better machine. The budget is the case and everything inside it. :p
I have a mouse, I have a spare keyboard, I don't have a god monitor but that won't be too hard to get.
I have OS I believe.

My personal recommendation, with a single GPU(the 560) you won't really see any discernable difference between these two CPUs(the AMD 965 vs the I5 2300), however in general the Intel CPU is faster in everything(there was no 2300 so I compared the 2400 vs the Phenom 970). It's up to you if you want to spend the extra money, both rigs leave upgrade paths to new CPUs, the Intel letting you upgrade to Ivy Bridge, and the AMD, to Bulldozer. Also, since the AMD build isn't nearing the roof of your $700 max budget unlike the Intel's you could get a better GPU if you felt like it, or 8gb ram instead of 4, or even go from that 500gb HDD to a 1TB.

Those were great looking builds. The intel one really caught my eye.
Thanks very much <3 you've been a great help.
