1$ is probably okay. But the probable 6$ tier is bit lean for me...

^ agreed. I would only really be in it for the Op Flashpoint game I don't own.

You can always think about it like this: you pay 6$ for all the games, not only for the bonuses. I mean, if this comes true, 1$ for all this games is a real bargain, so paying 6$ for all of them is not such a big deal. Self-deception.. it may ease your mind xD.

I'm glad I didn't get these when they were on Indie Gala. Their prices are wack.

If you organize group of other buyers you can get BTA pack for around 2$ during HH.

Yeah, but none of my friends buy those bundles and I don't want to deal with strangers for group buys. My comment regrading the price was in reference to it fluctuating by the day. One day it was $5.99, the next it'd be $7.99 and then back down to $5.99 the next day.

They raise BTA during Happy Hours.

Oh, I did not know that but I don't remember seeing the "Happy Hour" banner when it was $7.99.

Yeah, didn't like the demo that I played of it too much either, it felt a bit off for some reason. I still picked it up at one point, but I wasn't convinced right away.

Non a fan of Steam's Family Sharing feature?

We don't share PCs as they live several hours away, and they don't have the know how to use software that would let me do everything from my own PC.

Plus, the whole bit about only working when I'm not online, so no thanks. That is a deal breaker.

Teamviewer is really easy to use, even without computer skills.

And you can be online, but you can't have a game open at the same time as the other(s). Which is kind of a deal breaker, I agree. On the other hand, there's no library sharing at all with the alt-account strategy. I humbly suggest you combine the two models. :)

I have to install software for them. That is the level of skill I need to work with. Mum has trouble figuring out the email. Yet for some reason she can play that Facebook Candy game no problem...

And I'm not getting that BTA (nor buying Dirt 3 standalone) before they finish getting rid of GfWL.

Nice bundle, especially the 1$ tier (assuming it is a Humble weekly, which is likely).

Ninja'd Dirt: Showdown here on Steamgifts, not sure I want Dirt 3 (though I like Dirt 2, but I heard it's worse than 2).

Btw, Operation Flashpoint is not as bad as people say or reviews suggest if you like tactical shooters that aren't super hardcore. I at least enjoyed Red River, didn't play Dragon Rising yet. After playing the original Operation Flashpoint (now named ARMA: Cold War Assault) I can understand why the sequels didn't sell well though. The first game is so incredibly hardcore that all I ever did was lying on the floor behind cover, hoping not to get shot. As soon as I moved or tried to aim...bam dead. Red River is somewhere between Call of Duty and the original Flashpoint...not a mindless shooter where you kill hundreds of enemies shooting from your hip while your health automatically regenerates, but not a 100% realistic infantry simulator either.

If the first list is the $1 and the 2end the $4-6+.. I would for sure pick up the 1$ one. I played the first Overlord on the console and liked it.. so getting all of them on PC would be really nice :P

It's a tad different. It includes Rise of the Argonauts and Dirt Showdown, which the indie gala bundle did not.

Just because it's a bundle, doesn't mean it'll be a Humble/Gala/Indie bundle. Steam sells bundle packs all the time.

1 decade ago

But Steam adds them directly to account instead of givin you key :P

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

And? That doesn't negate my point at all. Steam sells bundles and they show up in steamDB like this. Just because bundles show up on SteamDB it doesn't mean they are going to be in a Humble/whatever bundle.

Steam doesn't sell keys, so this is going to be in a bundle.
