Policy: Exploited Red Orchestra Keys

Greetings community,

Please do not submit keys for Red Orchestra 41-45. We now consider these keys exploited for the same reason we consider Dark Messiah Multiplayer keys exploited.

Also, never submit a giveaway requiring that the winner must activate it over VPN. This is a bannable offense.

The keys are not exploited. They are being given away on a Polish gaming magazine website and they are totally legit.
Well, as legit as Polish free games can be.

Yeah, it's stupid. I have a code from that site, but I can't activate it in Steam cuz it's region locked. Talk about stupid. Oh well, lol, maybe I'll find someone in Poland who wants it XD, I just won't look for that person on here, lol.

It's not legal to be getting it by using VPN outside of Poland. This is a legal grey area. Your opinion that it is a legally free game is incorrect.

Noone here is explaining how to get it using vpn outside of Poland... but no point arguing further, got link myself before it was deleted and now im happy owner of red orchestra :P

Its says that amount of keys is limited, will they no longer be exploited when you wont be able to get em for free? They are after all region locked and blocking all keys from steamgifts is kinda unfair imo...

No. The keys are still region locked and unavailable to activate unless you use VPN. Submitting such keys is still a bannable offense.

Those keys are not exploited. If you're from Poland you are free to use them and you most certainly will not get banned. What can get you banned is using a VPN to bypass the region lock (using the key from a country different than Poland).

The keys are exploited they are on the site for people that bought the Pc magazine. If you have not bought Play 01/2012 then by redeeming the key you are most likely stealing from them or people who bought the magazine and wont recieve their keys because they were used up.

At first I was confused because I remember a while ago you could get a redeemable Steam key from going to the game's official Facebook page and clicking something there, and I thought this was referring to that, so I was all "Why is that bannable?" so I guess it's a good thing I read the comments here.
