Trailler Here

Did you guys watched it ? How was it ? It looks nice imo... and I was wondering if maybe it would come out on steam like the Indie Game: The Movie, what you guys think ?

From executive producer Zach Braff comes an epic feature length documentary chronicling the meteoric rise of video games from nerd niche to multi-billion dollar industry. Featuring in-depth interviews with the godfathers who started it all, the icons of game design, and the geek gurus who are leading us into the future, VIDEO GAMES: THE MOVIE is a celebration of gaming from Atari to Xbox, and an eye-opening look at what lies ahead.

That came out in July. o_O

You can buy it from the website, videogamesthemovie.com.

It was produced by Zach Braff, was it the one that he was asking for a ton of money through Kickstarter?!? o_O

Zach has to have a GOOD deal of money from his 9 seasons of Scrubs (a show that I completely LOVED) and the half dozen movies he's made since Scrubs ended, I always wondered why he needed so much money to produce a movie that he could have easily funded himself... Sounds to me like he didn't have much faith in the actual movie if he was SO afraid of losing money... -_-

To be honest, after seeing a few clips of how Zach Braff acts in-public when he doesn't know there's camera's on him. He's a really mean person.

I don't watch much news media/paparazzi stuff about celebrities, so I can't really comment on that.

All I know is that I really loved the show that he was the star of, Scrubs, other than that, I really can't comment on Zach Braff at all. lol

What little celebrity media I have watched though, it seems that a lot of celebrities are assholes when they don't think anyone is watching. It really seems that no matter how much money a person has, if they were an asshole when they weren't rich and famous, they're an asshole when they are. lol

There are always exceptions though, I can't think of any off the top of my head right now, but I'm sure there are a few that people will list here.

I'm currently watching "Video Games: The Movie" right now, I'll let everyone know what I think of it when it's over.

So far it reminds me a little of "The Video Game Years" by Pat the NES Punk on RetroWareTV and YouTube, which is a pretty good series by Pat, Ian and a bunch of other retro gamer YouTubers.

Anyone who loves video games should definitely check out "The Video Game Years" on YouTube or RetroWareTV!

I haven't seen much of him IRL, but I've loved some of the roles he's played in movies and he's one of the VERY few people who have had characters he's portrayed used as the inspiration of a religious-type cult. lol o_O

The Dude abides! ( ͡ᵔ ͜ʖ ͡ᵔ )

I saw it some months ago and it's really good. It doesn't cover everything related to video games but it's good enough to entertain you for 1h30 if you want to know more about the industry. If i'm not wrong, I think that most of the documentary is about consoles but it's still great to know some facts about the beginning of the video games.

8/10 in my opinion :)
